4, at the age of 83. A native of Alexandria,
Egypt, he was the beloved
husband of Laila Awad. A Divine Liturgy

Ridgewood, followed by interment

FRIEDA WITTINE of Middle Village
died on Sunday, March 4, at the age
of 89. A native of Mrauen, Gottschee,
Yugoslavia, she was the wife of the
late Ferdinand Wittine and devoted
mother of Renee Gerber. She is also
survived by two grandchildren. A
Mass of Christian Burial was off ered
at St. Margaret Church, Middle Village,
followed by interment at St. John
Cemetery, Middle Village, under the
direction of Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood.

GEORGE L. TING died on Thursday,
March 1, at the age of 83. He was the
beloved husband of Rosita Lim Ting,
loving father of Arlene Ting and cherished
grandfather of Allison and Kyle.
He was also a dear brother of many
siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered on Tuesday, March 6, at St.
Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed
by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village, with interment
of cremated remains to follow at Calvary
Cemetery, Woodside, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home,

JESUSA GARCIA died on Tuesday,
February 27, at the age of 89. She was
the beloved mother of Diana Murray,
loving grandmother of Kaitlyn and
Sebastian and dearest sister of Ana
Mercedes Garcia, Nelson Garcia, Juan
Francisco Garcia and the late Jorge
Garcia, Antonio Garcia, Yolanda
Galarza, Elsa Garcia and Rene Garcia.
