LINA GASPARITSCH (nee
STEINHAUSER) of Glen Cove, NY,
formerly of Middle Village, died
on Monday, February 19, at the age
of 89. She was predeceased by her
beloved husband John. She is survived
by her sisters-in-law Dorothy
Roeder and Helene Graepel, as
well as several nieces and nephews.
She is interred at Pinelawn
Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY.

died on Thursday, February 15,
at the age of 80. A native of Humacao,
Puerto Rico, she was the wife
of the late Pedro Gomez, devoted
mother of Fernando Gomez, Hector
Gomez, Pedro Gomez, Wilson
Gomez, Luis Gomez and Edwin
Gomez and dear sister of Eva Cruz,
Gregoria Carrera, Julio Ayala
and Salvador Ayala. She is also
survived by 19 grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren. A Mass

followed by interment at Cemetery
of the Evergreens, Brooklyn, under

CHARLES HUMMEL of Queens
died on Thursday, February 15, at
the age of 72. A native of Glendale, he
was the loving son of Anna and Carl
Hummel and brother of the late Anne.
A beloved life sciences professor and
department chair who retired last
year, he dedicated himself to teaching
NYIT students for more than 30 years.
He was a member of the Glendale Volunteer
Ambulance Corps. A Mass of
Christian Burial was off ered at Sacred
Heart Church, Glendale, followed by
interment at St. Charles Cemetery,
Farmingdale, NY, under the direction

died on Sunday, February 4, at the
age of 91. A native of Ridgewood,
she was the dear sister of John Ohl.
She is also survived by many nieces

of the Williamsburg Pentecostal
