on Sunday, February 11, at the age of
89. A native of Boisoara, Romania, she
was the mother of Maria Diaconu. A
Divine Liturgy was off ered at Descent
of the Holy Spirit Romanian
Orthodox Church, Ridgewood, by Rev.
Viorel Dimitrescu, followed by interment
at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood,
under the direction of Morton
Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels,
663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood.

FLORENCE SMITH of Ridgewood
died on Saturday, February 10, at the
age of 89. She was a native of Brooklyn.
Services were off ered prior to
cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village, under the direction
of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood
Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave.,
Ridgewood.

STEPHEN H. EBBRECHT died on
Friday, February 9, at the age of 58.
He was the beloved husband of Hunee
Ebbrecht, loving father of Stephanie
Ebbrecht and Sarah Ebbrecht,
cherished son of Julie Kelly and her
husband, Raymond, and dear brother
of Frederick Ebbrecht. Services were
off ered on Monday, February 12, at
Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth, followed by cremation
at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle
Village.

RITA SAVASTA died on Friday,
February 9, at the age of 69. She was
the beloved wife of Vito Savasta Sr.,
loving mother of Vito Savasta and future
daughter-in-law Peggy Kerolle.
Born and raised in Piacenza, Italy, on
October 27, 1948, she was the dearest
sister of Andrea, Giuseppi, Thomas,
Bruno and Andreina. She loved dark
chocolate and watching soap operas,
game shows, wrestling and old shows
on television. She was a tiny lady full
of life and a big heart. Italia Cesareo
was her best friend and sister, who
was always there for her. She was
loved by many nieces and nephews,
and was looking forward to the upcoming
nuptials of her son. A Mass
of Christian Burial was off ered on
Monday, February 12, at St. Margaret
Church, Middle Village, followed by
entombment at Pinelawn Memorial
Park, Farmingdale, NY, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

YOUSSEF N. SOLIMAN of Arverne
died on Thursday, February 8, at the
age of 15. A native of Alexandria,
Egypt, he was the loving son of Nazmy
Y. Soliman and Reda Ebid. A Divine

Coptic Orthodox Church, Long Island
City, followed by interment at Linden
Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood, under the
