Thanks to the Queens Library of Cambria Heights, these stories will not be forgotten. From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., the library will present the stories of these soldiers through the use of dioramas, re-enactments and artifacts from the Civil War. A second presentation will be held on Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. The Queens Library of Cambria Heights is located on 218-13 Linden Blvd. Saturday, Feb. 13 Myrtle Avenue which stretches from Fresh Pond Road to Wyck off Avenue, will be hosting its Valentine’s/ President’s Day Sidewalk Sale from Feb. 12 to 15. The Queens Library of Richmond Hill will be screening “The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The library is located on 118-114 Hillside Ave. The highly praised Disney fi lm “Inside Out” in 3-D will be screened daily by the Museum of the Moving Image from Feb. 13 to 19 at 12:30 p.m. This fi lm truly brings feelings to life as we follow the personifi ed emotions of a young girl adjusting to living in a new neighborhood. General admission to the movie also includes entry to the museum itself. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $9 for seniors and $6 for students and children between ages 3 to 12. The Museum of the Moving Image is located on 36-01 35th Ave. in Astoria. The oldest Dutch Colonial Stone House in the city is proud to present a candlelit tour fi lled with music and refreshments. An open mic event for spoken word artists will be hosted by poet and author Lauren “Lush” Collier from 2 to 4 p.m. She is native of Jamaica, Queens, and has published multiple collections of poetry. This open mic will take place at the Central Library in Jamaica located on 89-11 Merrick Blvd. There are those who speak out against injustice and those who allow it to pass them by. The late William Groper was one of those who spoke out. Growing up he witnessed extreme poverty, both on the streets and through exploited labor. He now has a collection of artwork in his honor, “Bearing Witness: Drawings by William Groper.” This exhibit will shed light on topics such as censorship, immigration and basic human rights.
