 OBITUARIES 
 JAMES DESIO died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the age of 95. A native of Maspeth  
 and a World War II veteran, he was the beloved husband of the late  
 Anita and devoted father of Roseann, Giannandrea and Joseph, He is also  
 survived by four grandchildren. He was a member of Don Bosco Knights  
 of Columbus Council, the Kowalinski Council and Post America Legion.  
 Services were off  ered at St. Stanislaus Church, followed by interment at St.  
 John Cemtery, under the direction of Hess-Miller Funeral Home , Middle  
 Village.

 GIACOMO ‘JACK’ GULLO died Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the age of 91. He was  
 the beloved husband of Sonia N. Gullo, loving father of Gary, Esther, Joseph,  
 Jose and the late Christopher, Jackie and Bernadette, cherished grandfather  
 of Danielle, Tori Ann, Christy, Nicholas, Joel, Nicole, Stephanie, Tommy,  
 Jacob, RJ, Naomi, Manny, Joseph and Khaleesi, and great-grandfather of  
 Leo, Millie and James. A Mass of Christian Burial was off  ered at Miraculous  
 Medal Church on Friday, Jan. 28, followed by interment  at Linden Hill Cemetery, 
  Ridgewood, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

 FILIPPO CARUSO died Friday, Jan. 28, at the age of 94. He was the beloved  
 husband od the late Adriana Caruso, lovng father of Connie Siracusa,  
 Maria Wawrzonek, Antoinette Caruso and Joseph Caruso and father-in-law  
 of John Siracusa and Bob Wawrzonek, cherished Nonno of Jeremy, Nico,  
 Bianca, Fabiana, Luna, Antonia, Benedetto, Alexa and Julia and greatgrandfather  
 of Gianluca and Siena, dear brother of Pasqualina, Maria, Pino,  
 Antonietta and the late Gianna, Pietro, Carmelo, Rosetta and Salvatore, and  
 dearest uncle and great-uncle of many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces  
 and great-nephews. In lieu of fl owers, memorial donations may be made  
 to Visiting Nurse Service of NY. A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled  
 to be off  ered at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, at St. Margaret’s Church, followed  
 by entombment at Lutheran All-Faiths Cemetery, Trinity Mausoleum,  
 Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.
