The DocCare organization believes that Dr. Bigman is
well-deserved for the recognition 2020 Person of the Year.
Dr. Alan Bigman, Launched DocCare 25 years ago in 1996 as the President and CEO
.Now with 7 locations and 40 over providers he continues to vigorously expand his
practice . He is also an active physician helping his patients to maintain good
health and pursue healthy lifestyles.
Dr Bigman served as a fearless leader for the community of Ridgewood, especially
during the COVID-19 pandemic. He made it a priority to preserve the continuity of
care for his patients by keeping the practice open 7 days during the public health
crisis. Now, he’s leading the fight of COVID by implementing the COVID-19 rapid
test as well as the vaccine to properly diagnose, manage and treat the virus
Dr. Alan Bigman, a native Queens resident, graduated from Chicago Medical
School,. He did his residency in General Surgery at LIJ, now Northwell. Completed
a Masters in Exercise Physiology at Queens College of CUNY. He is a 4x Board
Certified Emergency Physician and a Fellow of the American College of Sports
Medicine, he practiced nearly 17 years as a Full Time Hospital based Emergency
