William Cairns, 30, of 164th Street was taken into custody at a vacant home on 69th Lane just north of Grand Avenue at about 11:13 a.m. on Dec. 29. Offi cers from the 104th Precinct responded to the location aft er receiving a 911 call about someone trespassing on the property. Once they arrived at the scene, police entered the home and found Cairns inside. They also found that he had with him fi ve large bundles of marijuana, the exact quantity unknown, packed in vacuum-sealed bags. One of the responding offi cers, Police Officer Sean Hynes, took Cairns into custody on charges of criminal possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal trespassing.
