Elderly woman dies after
being struck by driver in
Middle Village: NYPD
An elderly woman is dead aft er being
struck by a motorist in Middle Village
early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, Nov. 24, around 6:30
a.m., Eugenia Atamian, 75, was crossing
Juniper Boulevard North near 81st Street
when she was struck by the driver of a car,
according to the NYPD.
Th e NYPD’s preliminary investigation
found that Atamian emerged into the
middle street, walking out between two
parked cars, when the 42-year-old driver
of a 2004 Chrysler sedan struck her.
EMS personnel arrived to fi nd Atamian
with severe trauma to her head. She was
taken to North Shore Hospital in critical
condition. Atamian was pronounced
dead at the hospital on the aft ernoon of
Tuesday, Nov. 24.
Th e driver of the car remained at the
scene.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.

Cops seek man who
masturbated in subway
car in Forest Hills
Th e NYPD is looking for a man who
masturbated aboard a subway train in
Forest Hills last week.
On Friday, Nov. 20, around 9:30 p.m.,
a 24-year-old woman spotted an unidentifi
ed man publicly masturbating while
riding on a southbound E train, as it
approached the 71st Avenue-Forest Hills
station, according to the NYPD.
Aft er witnessing the alleged act of
public lewdness, the woman snapped
a photo of the man, got off the train
and reported the incident to the
authorities.
Police describe the suspect as having
a thin build. He was last seen wearing
a green winter hat, a blue face mask, a
black jacket, green pants and tan boots.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.

Cops investigate sudden
death of man inside
Elmhurst home
Police are investigating the sudden
death of a 36-year-old man inside his
home in Elmhurst on Sunday night.
Offi cers from the 110th Precinct
responded to a 911 call at about 8:59
p.m. for a man found unconscious inside
an apartment house on Elbertson Street
near Britton Avenue.
When the offi cers arrived on the scene,
they found EMS units attending to Rafael
Marquez, 36, who lived at the location
and was in apparent cardiac arrest.
Paramedics administered CPR on him,
but were unsuccessful in reviving him.
EMS brought Marquez’s body to the
Medical Examiner’s offi ce for an autopsy
to determine the cause of death.
Police sources said there were no
apparent signs of physical trauma on
Marquez, nor any known medical
history that would’ve led to his demise.
Th e investigation is ongoing.
