A Long Island native, Lombardo attended Syracuse University. With a degree in history, Lombardo kicked off his career by doing audits and programs for the city of New York, and progressed to become a trained real estate appraiser in the early ’90s. His career took off from there. As a commercial real estate officer, Lombardo uses his deep experiences to solve issues in real estate and find creative solutions to commercial real estate origination challenges. For 13 years, Lombardo has also been an adjunct professor of real estate at New York University – Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he hones the skills of future professionals on the various ways of understanding the development process in real estate. With success comes challenges for Lombardo. “The market is still robust but may get a little softer in the future,” he said. “Understanding that the market is always changing has been a multifaceted challenge.” Being that Lombardo has years of experience with communicating as a real estate lender and adjunct professor, he is often invited to speak at workshops and seminars that focuses on real estate cycles. “One of my biggest accomplishments has been operating at a high level of professionalism with diverse experiences,” Lombardo told The Queens Courier. “The best part of living in Queens is lending to different types of people. In fact, going to vote this morning, I saw ballots in a variety of different languages such as Spanish, Chinese and Arabic, and I realized how much of a norm it is for Queens to be so diverse.” Lombardo currently lives in Whitestone, Queens.
