Thief allegedly stole
more than $1,000 from
Walgreens in Astoria
Police from the 114th Precinct in
Astoria are looking for a man who
stole more than $1,000 in cash from a
Crescent Street Walgreens last month.
Authorities say that on the evening of
Wednesday, Oct. 20, the suspect entered
the Walgreens, located at 33-55 Crescent
St., and walked into the store’s offi ce.
Once inside, the man removed keys
from the desk, opened the safe and proceeded
to remove $1,030 in cash, police
said.Th
e suspect then left the store and ran
eastbound on 34th Avenue. Th ere were
no injuries reported.
Th e NYPD released surveillance images
of the suspect and described him as a
dark-skinned man who is approximately
25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches
tall and 150 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a blue and
white sweater, blue jeans, a black baseball
cap and back and white sneakers.
No arrests have been made. Th e investigation
is ongoing.

Crook stabs man in
attempted Hollis robbery
Police from the 103rd Precinct in
Jamaica are looking for a suspect who
allegedly stabbed a motorist in Hollis last
month.
Just before midnight on Wednesday,
Oct. 6, at the intersection of 90th Avenue
and 198th Street, a 34-year-old man was
cleaning out the back seat of his car
when an unknown assailant came up
from behind the victim and shoved him,
according to authorities.
Th e suspect then stabbed the man in the
right side of his abdomen and demanded
the victim’s property, police said.
Th e assailant then fl ed the scene emptyhanded
running westbound on Hillside
Avenue. EMS responded to the scene and
transported the victim to Long Island
Jewish Medical Center in stable condition,
according to authorities.
Th e NYPD released surveillance images
of the suspect who they describe as a
dark-skinned man approximately 25 to
30 years old with a thin build. He was
last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball
hat, a multicolored shirt, black pants and
white sneakers, police said.

Man robs subway rider
near Jamaica Estates
Police from the 107th Precinct in Fresh
Meadows are looking for a man who
robbed a straphanger at a Jamaica Estates
subway station Tuesday aft ernoon, Nov.
2.
Authorities say that just before 2:30
p.m. on the mezzanine of the 179th
Street F line subway station, the suspect
approached a 41-year-old woman as
she was attempting to add money to her
MetroCard. Th e man snatched $10 and
the MetroCard out of the woman’s hand
and fl ed the station
on foot, police said,
adding that no injuries
were reported as
a result of the incident.
The suspect,
described as a lightskinned
man, is
approximately 40 to
50 years old, stands
around 6 feet tall and
weighs approximately
200 pounds.

sweatshirt with
a gray vest over it,
blue jeans and black
sneakers.
