Woman steals $140k in
equipment from Bayside
cardiologist’s offi ce
Police are searching for a woman who
helped herself to over a hundred thousand
dollars’ worth of cardiology and offi ce
equipment in Bayside this summer.
On Friday, July 14, at around 5:15 p.m.,
an unidentifi ed individual entered the NY
Premier Cardiology offi ce, located at 210-12
Northern Blvd., and removed approximately
$140,000 worth of medical equipment
from the location. Th e suspect then fl ed in
an unknown direction in a white SUV.
An employee of the business told police
they locked the doors and gate at the location
upon closing, but returned to discover
the equipment had been stolen, an NYPD
spokesperson said. Th ere were no visible
signs of tampering.
Among the stolen equipment is an echo
cardiogram machine, computer tower,
EKG machine, ABI PUR cardio machine,
handheld vascular doppler, Holter monitor,
paper shredder, two laptops and seven
printer toners, police said.
Th e suspect is described as a female with
a light complexion, last seen wearing a baseball
cap, sunglasses and a light-colored,
long-sleeved shirt.
Th e incident was reported to the 111th
Precinct.

Cops looking for suspect
who shot man near Astoria
housing complex
Police are asking for the public’s help in
identifying a man clad in a construction
vest and ski mask who shot someone at the
Ravenswood Houses in Astoria last week.
According to the NYPD, the incident
occurred on Aug. 30 at about 8 p.m. when
the suspect approached a 33-year-old
man at 21-20 34th St. who had just gotten
off a motorcycle. Th e suspect shouted,
“Now I got you” and shot the victim
in the left arm, police said.
He fl ed the scene and the victim was
rushed to NY Cornell Hospital in stable
condition, police said. Cops could not
confi rm if the suspect and victim know
each other because the 33-year-old man
denied having any relationship with his
shooter.
Th e suspect is described as a black male
about 30 years old and approximately 5
feet, 7 inches and 160 pounds. He was
last seen wearing gray slacks, a green construction
vest, ski mask white sneakers
and yellow hard hat.

Rego Park apartment found
to be full of heroin & cash
Seven police offi cers fell ill and were
hospitalized on the morning of Sept.
1 aft er being exposed to a foreign substance
while responding to a disturbance
at a Rego Park apartment building,
police said.
According to Assistant Chief Juanita
Holmes, commander of Patrol Borough
Queens North, two members of the
112th Precinct responded to the reported
disturbance at a fi ft h-fl oor apartment
on Saunders Street near 63rd Road at 2
a.m. on Sept. 1.
Upon arriving at the scene, Holmes
said, the offi cers were met by a 39-yearold
man whom she described to be in a
“catatonic state.” Offi cers administered
naxolone, a drug used to revive patients
who have overdosed on heroin, to revive
the man, who was then taken into custody
and brought to Elmhurst Hospital.
Shortly aft er arriving at the scene,
however, the offi cers and fi ve other cops
who came to the location began experiencing
nausea and tingling of their fi ngers,
according to Holmes. Th ey were
brought to Long Island Jewish Medical
Center where they were treated and
released. It’s not immediately clear
what chemical triggered the symptoms,
Holmes said.

No residents inside the building were
harmed, but Holmes advised at a press
conference that those living on the fi ft h
fl oor consult their doctor as a precaution.
Meanwhile, police obtained a search
warrant of the 39-year-old man’s apartment
and later discovered a large pile of
cash and a large quantity of white powder
later determined to be heroin.
Charges against the 39-year-old man
are pending the results of an ongoing
investigation.

Cops catch man who tried
to abduct a 12-year-old
girl in Queens Village
Cops have arrested a Brooklyn man
who tried to grab a young girl as she
walked with her mother near a supermarket
in Queens Village on the night
of Aug. 31.
At 6:30 p.m. on Th ursday, Aug. 31,
a 12-year-old girl was walking by the
Key Food parking lot, located at 213-22
Jamaica Ave., with her mother. As they
were walking, Vladimir Suero forcibly
grabbed the girl’s arm and said, “You’re
coming with me” in Spanish.
Suero then tried to pull the girl away
from her mother, but was unsuccessful.
He then fl ed the scene westbound on
Jamaica Avenue.
Police arrested Suero and charged him
with acting in a manner injurious to a
child less than 17 years old and harassment.
