Queens actor Peter Gaudio has been
building his resume recently.
He recently wrapped up fi lming the
Kevin Connolly-directed crime drama
“Th e Life and Death of John Gotti” about
the head of the notorious Gambino
crime family, starring John Travolta in
the titular role.
Th e fi lm is set for release on December
15 of this year.
Other recent fi lm credits include the
boxing fi lm “Back in the Day” starring
Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover and the
upcoming romance fi lm “Cruise” starring
Emily Ratajkowski.
Gaudio said that being in bigger
movies and working with the likes of
Travolta, Baldwin and Glover has been
quite the experience.
“Working with somebody at that level,
the highest level, it’s an amazing experience,”
he said. “Th e tricks of the trade,
the experience I get out of it, it made me
a better actor. What is taught on set is
completely diff erent than what you learn
in classes.”
Gaudio is also a part of the upcoming
television show “Th e Neighborhood”
starring William DeMeo and fellow
Queens native James Russo.
Th e show, which wrapped fi lming earlier
this year, is currently being shopped
to networks before having an offi cial
release sometime in early 2018.
Gaudio has also found plenty of work
for him off of the big screen as well.
Th e former bodybuilding champion
and Mr. NYC 2000 & 2001 runs a fi tness
business on the northern coast of Long
Island. Gaudio uses this not only to support
himself and his family, but also to
allow him to pursue him more passionate
pursuits.
Th is includes being in off -Broadway
plays “Murdered by the Mob” and “Tony
and Tina’s Wedding.”
Despite being labeled by some of the
people he shares the screen with as having
“a hardcore mobster look with a hard
physique,” there is more to Gaudio than
just his physical appearance.
His daughter, Petrina, who will turn
13 in October, is looking to follow in her
father’s footsteps.
“She has a similar aspiration in arts,”
he said. “But I have an open policy with
her: she can be anything she wants to be.”
