The popular Long Island City flea market, located at Fifth Street and 46th Avenue, will continue its Meet the Queens Makers series as the Queens Brewery takes over the LIC Flea Beer Garden. During the series, visitors will be able to get to know local breweries and speak with the makers behind the products. Queens Brewery’s beer maker will be on hand to share information about their beer-making process, provide tastings and answer questions from visitors. The LIC Flea Beer Garden exclusively serves beers brewed in Queens from local breweries including Rockaway Brewery, Queens Brewery, Finback and SingleCut. This weekend the LIC Flea will also feature a live band and DJ, providing visitors with some tunes to enjoy. A kids’ performance from The Secret Theatre, called “Princess Particular,” will also take place at the Flea on Sunday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. LIC Flea & Food runs every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through the end of October.
