(HANAC) will be bidding out the work for the 2016-2017 Program Year DOE/PVE and HEAP contracts. HANAC INC. is a non-pro t community based organization, which provides weatherization services in small and multiple dwelling buildings in the Northern Queens area. The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is funded by U.S Department of Energy and U.S Department of Health and Human Services, and is administered and funded locally by NYS Home and Community Renewal (HCR). HANAC Inc. is seeking experienced contractors to perform weatherization work and related services. The general contracting work included but is not limited to: Window repairs and replacement, lighting upgrades, Blown-in insulation, Vent cleaning/installation, Air sealing, weather-stripping, caulking, door replacement, pipe insulation, roof repairs. Heating contractors to perform clean and tune, repairs, replacement or upgrading, for heating system. To be a viable bidder, subcontractors must submit proof of liability/POI insurance coverage, must be an EPA RRP Lead-Safe Certi ed Firm and have or show proof of capacity to secure performance and payment bond. Contractors should be aware that weatherization services performed on small unit homes (1 to 4) are subject to pre and post Blower door testing. HANAC Inc. encourages active participation of minority and women owned business (MWBE).
