forced woman into sex
act at gunpoint: NYPD
Special victims detectives in Queens
are looking for the armed attacker who
sexually assaulted a 31-year-old woman
on the street at gunpoint.
Police said the brazen attack happened
at 2:15 a.m. on June 18 in the vicinity of
78th Street and Roosevelt Avenue on the
Elmhurst/Jackson Heights boundary.
According to law enforcement sources,
the creep approached the victim as she
walked through the area and displayed
a fi rearm.
Authorities said the pervert then forced
the woman into an area off the street, where
he forced her into a sex act. Moments later,
he removed the woman’s bag — which
contained her cellphone and wallet — and
fl ed in an unknown direction.
Th e incident was reported to the 110th
Precinct. Th e victim was brought to
Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
On June 20, the NYPD released photos
of the attacker, whom police described as
a Hispanic man with a goatee who wore
a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt,
black sweatpants and white sneakers. He
was also seen carrying a drawstring bag.

Police searching for two men
suspected in Woodhaven shooting
Police from the 102nd Precinct are looking for two
men in connection with a shooting in broad daylight
on Tuesday, June 15, in Woodhaven.
A man was wounded at the corner of Jamaica Avenue
and 90th Street on June 15 aft er he was involved in a
dispute over the sale of a gas-powered scooter, according
to investigators.
One of the men drew a handgun and allegedly fi red
the weapon, striking the 24-year-old man in the hip.
Th e two suspects fl ed the scene on foot and were last
seen running westbound on Jamaica Avenue around
2:30 p.m., police said.
Th e victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital by
private means, where he was reported to be in stable
condition.
Th e shooter was described by police as having been
last seen wearing a blue face mask, a white T-shirt,
black shorts and black and red sneakers. Th e second
suspect was described as a man last seen wearing eyeglasses,
an orange T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers,
according to police.

Man sought for fi ring weapon near
Queensbridge Houses: NYPD
Police at the 114th Precinct in Astoria are searching for a
gunman in connection with a reckless endangerment incident
near the Queensbridge Houses in late April.
Th e NYPD received reports of shots fi red during the evening
of April 28 in front of 40-07 12th St. in Long Island
City in which an unidentifi ed man fi red his weapon, striking
a bedroom window of a residence at 40-06 12th St.,
police said.
Th ere were no injuries resulting from the shooting, according
to the NYPD.
Th e suspect was captured on surveillance cameras and is
described as a dark-skinned man with a medium build who
was last seen wearing all black clothing and white sneakers,
police said.
