The victim was walking near 71st Street and 41st Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. on June 11 when she was attacked, cops said. After the suspect approached the woman, he punched her in the face, pushed her to the ground and attempted to rape her, according to police. The victim fought back, and the suspect fl ed northbound on 71st Street. The woman suffered minor injuries, cops said. Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, about 17 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 165 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue soccer jersey with a red stripe, dark jeans and sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 110TH PRECINCT Corona and Elmhurst 21-year-old man found stabbed to death behind LeFrak City building A man was discovered fatally stabbed behind his apartment building in LeFrak City Tuesday night, police said. Offi cers found 21-year-old Andrew Ramirez at about 9:50 p.m. on June 17 with stab wounds to his torso near his 97-20 57 Ave. residence in Corona, cops said. Ramirez was taken to Forest Hills Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to offi cials. As of press time, there were no arrests and the investigation was ongoing, police said. 112TH PRECINCT Forest Hills and Rego Park Suspect robs Forest Hills video game store: NYPD An armed suspect took $250 from a Forest Hills video game store on June 6, police said. The robbery took place at about 10:20 a.m. at a Game- Stop located on 71st Avenue near Queens Boulevard, according to offi cials. After entering the business, the suspect displayed a gun, then took the cash from an opened safe underneath the counter before fl eeing, cops said. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 113TH PRECINCT St. Albans, Hollis, Springfi eld Gardens, South Ozone Park, South Jamaica, Addisleigh Park and Locust Manor Police arrest St. Albans teen for fi ring gun in Jamaica Cops arrested a fl eeing 19-year-old shooter who fi red two rounds at a group of people in Jamaica. Michael Jones of St. Albans got into a verbal dispute with the group around 11:20 p.m. on June 14 near Merrick Boulevard and 119th Avenue, police said. Jones pulled out a gun from his waist and started to shoot the people, cops said. No one was injured, according to offi cials. Offi cers who were driving nearby jumped out of an unmarked car and chased Jones, who threw away his gun before he fl ed, authorities said. Jones was caught and arrested around Merrick and Baisley boulevards. He was charged with weapon possession, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest, according to police. Man shot and killed inside Edge Bar and Lounge in Jamaica: cops A 35-year-old man was shot dead in Jamaica, according to police. The victim, Timothy Tripp, was shot at about 2:40 a.m. on June 14 inside Edge Bar and Lounge on Merrick Boulevard, cops said. EMS pronounced Tripp, who had a gunshot wound to his head and torso, dead at the scene, offi cials said. A Queens Narcotics detective sustained an injury on his right leg at about 6:55 p.m. on June 16 at Cooper Avenue and 59th Street while trying to catch 38-year-old Bryan McMenamin, an escaped prisoner who was arrested by Queens Narcotics for selling drugs within the confi nes of the 104th Precinct, police said. McMenamin was apprehended at about 2:20 p.m. on June 17 inside an apartment on 15 Saint James Pl. in downtown Manhattan, according to offi cials. In addition to facing charges for criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection to his initial arrest, McMenamin faces charges of second-degree attempted murder, grand larceny, escape, resisting arrest and tampering with evidence following his escape, cops said.
