Th e 36-year-old female, who was driving the SUV, sustained minor injuries to her neck and back and was transported by EMS to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset in stable condition. Th e 51-year-old male driver sustained injury to his chest and was transported by EMS to the same hospital also in stable condition. Th e 48-year-old passenger, identifi ed as Wazeda Banu of 168th Street in Jamaica, suff ered chest pain and was transported to Queens Hospital Center in critical condition. She was pronounced deceased upon arrival. Th e 59-year-old female passenger sustained a shoulder injury and was transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition. Police Offi cer Jose Sierra, 41, and his girlfriend Lina Maria Bedoya Muriel, 30, were arrested on Th ursday, May 25 in front of a home on 89th Street off Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst. Th ey were both charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Sierra, a six-year veteran who worked at the NYPD Housing Bureau Patrol Service Area 7 in the Bronx, allegedly sold drugs out of a 2017 Honda Accord with Bedoya Muriel twice to undercover offi cers. Each time, Bedoya Muriel sat in the passenger seat and handed offi cers packets of cocaine in exchange for money. Prosecutors said the couple allegedly sold 10 packets of cocaine for $160 on Tuesday, May 16 in the vicinity of 38th Avenue and 11th Street in Long Island City, and 12 packets of cocaine for $200 on Tuesday, May 23 at the same location. On Th ursday, May 25 at 6 p.m., investigators executed a court-authorized search warrant and found 18 folded packages of cocaine on Bedoya Muriel and 36 packages in a black bag in the trunk of the car. During a second search at the 89th Street location, offi cers found a shrinkwrapped package of cocaine that weighed about 125 grams, a pistol registered to Sierra, three digital scales and the couple’s passports.“Sierra has disgraced the badge and violated the oath he took as a police offi cer when he crossed the line to the other side and began distributing narcotics,” said Angel Melendez, special agent in charge Homeland Security Investigations New York. “HSI will remain steadfast in its commitment to arrest all those who fl ood our streets with dangerous drugs.” 1 02nd Precinct Kew Gardens, Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven K nife-wielding thief robs woman, pushes friend, Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man with a knife who robbed a woman and assaulted another woman in Richmond Hill earlier this month. According to police, at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 21, two women, ages 54 and 59, a 54-year-old woman (Victim 1) and a 59-year-old woman (Victim 2) were talking in the vicinity of Mayfair Road and 116th Street when an unknown man approached them with a knife. Th e suspect forcibly took the 54-yearold woman’s purse and when the 59-yearold woman tried to assist her, the suspect pushed the 59-year-old to the ground, causing an injury to her hip. Both victims was transported to Jamaica Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Th e suspect is described as a black man standing 6 feet, one inch tall, and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. All calls and messages are kept confi dential. 110th Precinct Corona & Elmhurst Man taunts & robs woman at Jackson Heights station Cops are looking for a man who harassed and then robbed a 44-yearold woman at the 74 Street-Roosevelt Avenue subway station last week. Police released on Sunday a video of a man wanted for robbing and assaulting a woman inside a subway station in Jackson Heights last week. According to law enforcement sources, the trouble began at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, May 22 inside the 74 Street- Roosevelt Avenue subway station, where the suspect tried to engage a 44-year-old woman as she swiped her MetroCard through the turnstile. Even though the woman initially ignored the man, police said, he followed her inside the station and continued to harass her. Authorities said this led to a brief argument, during which the perpetrator grabbed the woman’ purse from her shoulder and ran toward the staircase leading to the street. Police said the woman followed the crook and eventually caught up to her. When she did, law enforcement sources said, the bandit turned to her and kicked her numerous times in the chest and stomach. He then took $300 in cash out of the woman’s purse, threw it on the fl oor and ran out of the station, heading northbound on 74th Street. Th e incident was reported to the 110th Precinct and the NYPD Transit Bureau; the victim suff ered injuries not considered life-threatening. Th e NYPD described the suspect as a black man between 25 and 35 years of age, standing between 6 foot 2 inches and 6 foot 4 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a Chicago Bulls baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
