Yet there are conflicting reports about prostate cancer and the prostate-specific antigen blood test, also known as the PSA screening test: • Is PSA a good screening test or not? • At what age should PSA screening begin, and stop? • If a man is diagnosed with prostate cancer, what treatment is really best? • Is prostate cancer even dangerous enough to warrant treatment at all? • If treatment is selected, what will be the urinary and sexual side effects? Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men — but also has a very high survival rate.
