The suspect approached the residence on Parsons Boulevard near Summit Place on Feb. 25 about 9:30 a.m. while walking with a small dog and rang the doorbell, cops said. A female suspect then pulled up in a 2015 white Hyundai Santa Fe and the two walked to the rear of the home. They then broke the glass sliding door and allegedly took a diamond ring and $3,000 in cash from inside the home. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). Pickpocket wanted for targeting women at Flushing stores A serial pickpocket is going after female shoppers in the busy Main Street-Roosevelt Avenue area of Flushing — swiping their cellphones, cash and credit cards since late January, police said. Each time, the suspect steals the woman’s valuables from her pocket or handbag while she is shopping or making a purchase. According to police, the suspect is wanted in nine thefts, all of which took place at the J-Mart supermarket located at 136-20 Roosevelt Ave. or at other businesses within about a few blocks of that store: On Jan. 29, at 8:30 p.m., the suspect approached a 22-year-old woman as she was shopping at a Duane Reade located at 136-02 Roosevelt Ave. and took her wallet containing an undetermined amount of cash and various credit cards. On Feb. 8, at 5:20 p.m., the suspect approached a 29-year-old woman as she was shopping at J-Mart, and removed her iPhone 6 from her jacket pocket. On Feb. 10, at 9 a.m., a 77-year-old woman was shopping at J-Mart when she was bumped into by an Compiled by Cristabelle Tumola, Robert Pozarycki and Angy Altamirano unknown person, causing her vegetables to fall to the floor. As the victim approached the checkout counter, she discovered that her wallet, which contained cash and various cards, had been stolen. On Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m., the suspect came up to a 30-year-old woman as she was shopping at the Jiang City Supermarket located at 40-38 Main St. and removed her wallet from her bag containing $300 and various credit cards. On Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m., the suspect came up to a 56-year-old woman as she was shopping in front of a market located at 40-34 Main St. and removed her wallet from her bag containing cash and various cards. On March 2, at 2:30 p.m., the suspect approached a 65-year-old woman as she was shopping at the CJ Supermarket located at 40-33 Main St. and removed her wallet from her bag containing cash and various cards. On March 3, at 12 p.m., the suspect approached a 28-year-old woman as she was buying coffee at a Starbucks located at 38-05 Main St. and removed her iPhone 6 with a case containing various credit cards from her bag. On March 3, at 12:30 p.m., the suspect came up to a 41-year-old female victim as she was shopping at EW Studio located at 41-40 Kissena Blvd., and took her iPhone from her bag. On March 8, at 1 p.m., the suspect approached a 65-year-old woman as she was shopping at the CJ Supermarket located at 40-33 Main St., and removed her wallet from her bag containing cash and various cards. Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 40s and have released a video from the Feb. 8 incident at J-Mart. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 112th Precinct Forest Hills and Rego Park Cops seek suspects in Forest Hills, Rego Park business burglaries Police have released a photo of a man wanted for questioning in a burglary pattern at businesses in Rego Park and Forest Hills dating back to January. The most recent burglary occurred on March 4 at the Key Food supermarket at 92-02 63rd Dr. in Rego Park after breaking into the market’s side door, police said. Authorities said the crooks also visited that day the Da Mikelle II Restaurant, located at 102-53 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills, broke through a rear door and removed an undetermined amount of money. The person of interest is pictured in a security camera image taken at a nearby 7-Eleven shortly after the March 4 burglaries, authorities said. Police described the six other incidents in the burglary pattern as follows: On Jan. 24, the burglars broke through the rear wall of the Knish Nosh restaurant at 100-30 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills and removed kitchen utensils and cash. The following day, Jan. 25, burglars broke through the rear door of the Midorinatsu Hibachi restaurant at 111-16 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills and stole cash, an ASIS laptop computer and two safe boxes. On Feb. 18, the suspects entered through a skylight at the Rainbow store at 63-22 Austin St. in Rego Park and removed assorted drugs. On Feb. 26, the burglars unsuccessfully attempted to break through the rear door of Colony Drugs and Surgical at 103-19 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills. Peter C. Ali, an Astoria resident, was arraigned on March 5 and charged with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglar’s tools, petit larceny and resisting arrest. According to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, on Dec. 28, 2014, Ali broke into a late model Toyota Camry yellow taxi parked on Queens Boulevard and 52nd Street in Woodside and removed the car’s hybrid battery pack, valued at about $4,000. Later, on Feb. 25, Ali was allegedly seen using a flashlight to look into the interior of a silver Toyota Camry on the corner of 21st Street and 29th Avenue in Astoria before stealing the car’s airbag. The next day, Ali allegedly took another airbag from a 2010 Toyota minivan parked near Austin Street and Union Turnpike in Forest Hills. Ali was caught on March 5 as officers of the Grand Larceny Unit witnessed him stealing an airbag from a car in Astoria, according to a police source. The incident with the hybrid battery was one of 11 that have occurred in the confines of the 108th Precinct since November. During those incidents, car thieves walked away with the expensive batteries from the trunks of the vehicles. The investigation for the remaining 10 cases is ongoing. Ali is currently being held on $100,000 bail and his next court date is scheduled for March 18. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison. Screenshot via NYPD
