Song Shim was found about 2:50 p.m. at her Beech Avenue residence along with the body of 42-year-old Eunjin Bae, who, according to police sources, was her ex-boyfriend. They both had gunshot wounds to the head and were pronounced dead at the scene. Police sources said it appears that Bae shot Shim and then turned the gun on himself. A suicide note and a firearm were recovered at the scene. 110th Precinct Corona and Elmhurst Man exposes himself to woman on Queens R train: NYPD An R train rider had an unpleasant start to her morning when a man exposed himself to the woman as the train was at the Grand Avenue station, according to police. The incident happened as the 34-year-old victim was on board the Queensbound train about 7:40 a.m. on March 9, authorities said. As the train was at the Grand Avenue stop in Elmhurst, the man sat down in front of the woman and allegedly exposed himself. He then got off at the next stop on Woodhaven and Queens boulevards. Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 111th Precinct Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck, Auburndale, Hollis Hills and Fresh Meadows Suspect arrested for raping Northern Boulevard spa worker Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping a Queens spa worker at gunpoint last month after booking an appointment at an unlicensed massage parlor. Luis Jessup, a 37-year-old College Point resident, has been charged with rape, criminal sex act, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon in the Feb. 21 attack, authorities said. According to police, Jessup entered the facility, located on Northern Boulevard near Marathon Parkway, at about 7:30 a.m. that day armed with what appeared to be a gun. He had an appointment scheduled, and when he arrived he took out the weapon and raped the employee, a 42-year-old woman, on a massage table in a rear room of the spa, prosecutors said. Jessup’s arrest follows the release of video footage showing the suspect at the spa the morning of the rape. Jessup, who faces up to 25 years in prison, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. His next court date is March 20. 114th Precinct Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Jackson Heights Five sought in Astoria nightclub fight A fight at an Astoria nightclub sent three stabbing victims to the hospital, and police continue to seek five men for questioning, authorities said. The violence began about 3 a.m. on March 6 inside Purlieu on 34th Street near 36th Avenue, during a party Compiled by Cristabelle Tumola for the rapper Chedda Da Connect, according to the Daily News. During the brawl, a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and chest, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in his chest and a 28-year-old male was stabbed in his shoulder, police said. The three men were also robbed of their cellphones and jewelry as the fight was happening. EMS took the victims to area hospitals in stable condition. Police have released photos of five men wanted for questioning in the assault. It wasn’t immediately clear what led to the fight. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 115th Precinct East Elmhurst, North Corona and Jackson Heights Suspect arrested in stabing death of Jackson Heights man Police have arrested a man in the murder of a 25-yearold Jackson Heights resident who was stabbed to death just outside his apartment late last year. William Avila, 22, was apprehended at his East Elmhurst home on March 6, according to authorities, and charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the killing of Steven Shimabuku. Shimabuku was only steps from his home on 90th Street, near 35th Avenue, at about 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 19, when Avila allegedly stabbed him in the torso. The two were involved in an ongoing dispute, police said. He was able to make it back to his basement apartment, where his girlfriend called 911, according to the Daily News. Shimabuku was then taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Earlier this year, police released a video of a suspect in the stabbing, and in late February identified the man as Avila.
