on M train in Astoria: NYPD
Police from the 114th Precinct in
Astoria and Transit District 20 are
searching for a suspect who allegedly
molested a 14-year-old girl as she rode
an M train on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
Th e youngster was aboard a northbound
M around 8 a.m. when a man
seated beside her touched her thigh and
rear end over her clothing, police said.
As the train pulled into the Steinway
Street station, the victim and her assailant
got off the subway and emerged on
the street. Th e man followed the teen
and tried to engage her in dialogue,
according to the NYPD.
Th e victim was not injured in the incident
and fl ed for safety as the man took
off on foot in an unknown direction,
police said.
Th e NYPD released a photo of the suspect
taken in the Steinway Street subway
station. He was wearing a dark
jacket that has a red hood and shoulders,
a New York Yankees baseball cap,
a black face mask, dark jeans and white
sneakers.

Man sought in burglary
of Flushing electronics
store: NYPD
Police from the 109th Precinct in
Flushing are looking for a man who
broke into an electronics store on
College Point Boulevard near Pople
Avenue on Saturday, Jan. 15.
Just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18,
a 60-year-old man who worked at the
store discovered that property was missing
and called the police. A subsequent
investigation determined that during the
evening of Jan. 15, a man broke into the
secured front entrance of the store and
entered the location.
Once inside, the suspect removed
cash and electronics and fl ed on foot
in an unknown direction, police said.
Investigators said the estimated value
of the property removed from the shop
was $2,800.
Th e NYPD released an image of the
suspect taken at the location. Th e man
is believed to be 20 to 30 years of age,
and he was last seen wearing a wool cap,
a jacket with stripes down its arms and
blue jeans.
No arrests have been made. Th e investigation
is ongoing.

the suspect who violently
attacked a woman during a
Queens rape attempt early in
the morning of Sunday, Jan. 23.
Late on the night of Jan. 24,
the NYPD released video footage
of the perpetrator behind
the attack, which occurred
at about 3:30 a.m. inside an
apartment building elevator
near the corner of 190th
Street and Woodhull Avenue
in Hollis.
According to law enforcement
sources, the creep was
in the building lobby as the
38-year-old woman walked
inside, returning home for the
evening. Cops said the perpetrator
slapped the woman
across her buttocks as she
walked into the elevator, then
followed her inside.
Once inside the lift , authorities
reported, the suspect
punched and kicked the
woman about her face. He verbally
threatened to rape her,
then tore off her shirt and bra.
Seconds later, however, the
creep took the woman’s iPhone
10 plus, then exited the elevator
and fl ed in an unknown
direction.
Th e incident was reported
to the 103rd Precinct. Th e victim
was brought to Jamaica
Hospital in stable condition
aft er suff ering facial pain,
bruising and swelling.
Th e video shows the suspect
walking into and out of the elevator.
He’s pictured wearing a
black jacket, black pants and
black sneakers.
