girls enrolled in single gender schools set
higher educational goals; feel in control of
their own choices and achieve at higher

numerous transferable credits. Through

Program, our seniors can earn up to 18
college credits with a variety of courses
to choose from. With The University at
Albany, St. Agnes offers a Science
Research Program. This is a three year
independent study course in which
students conduct research on a scientific
topic of their choosing, with the help of a
mentor. Up to 12 college credits are
available upon successful completion.

Why an all girls’ school?
St. Agnes girls thrive in a culture of
mutual respect and inclusivity, where
diversity of thought is celebrated. They
lead in every way, every day gaining a
deeper understanding of their own
power to change the course of history.
Students are encouraged to take risks,
develop their talents, and push boundaries
in high school and far beyond. More
than 10,000 alumni have become local
and national leaders in education, the
health professions and business. Their
success stories speak to our strong and
proud history of educating young
women.
For more than a century, St. Agnes
Academic High School has developed
independent thinkers through a rigorous
curriculum based on active intellectual
exploration and integrity. With a rapidly
expanding STEM program and exciting
