property from a vehicle on Neptune
Avenue on Jan. 31.
The victim told police that she left
the car unattended and unlocked at
the intersection of W. 12th Street to
pick up her daughter at around 6:20
pm, and returned to her iPhone and
Michael Kors wallet missing.
In the window
A lawbreaker swiped LED DJ
lights and a laptop from a Brighton
Sixth Street business on Jan. 31.
The victim told police that the
crook broke into the storefront between
Brighton Beach Avenue and
Brightwater Court at around 6 pm
through an unlocked back window,
and stole the ill-gotten goods.
Malware
Freebooters stole two laptops
from a car that was parked at a
Cropsey Avenue hardware store on
Jan. 27.
The victim told police that he returned
to his car parked between
Bay 53rd and the Cropsey Avenue
bridge at around 11 am, and found
$1,000 worth of property was missing.

Battered
Three good-for-nothings mugged
a man of $300 on E. 18th Street on
Jan. 26.
The victim told police that three
savages hit him with a metal bats
near Avenue V around 11:35 pm, and
stole his money, before fl eeing.
Bra-glury
A sneak unsuccessfully tried to
steal lingerie from an E. 15th Street
store on Feb. 1.
The victim told police that she
tried to stop the shoplifter from leaving
the store at the intersection of
Avenue P around 3 pm, but the thief
dropped the clothes and ran off.
Scooter swipers
Police arrested three knife-wielding
suspects who allegedly stole two
scooters from helpless victims on
Avenue Z on Feb. 2.
The victim told police the suspects
allegedly hijacked the scooters
near E. 12th Street at around
1:50 am and fl ed toward Sheepshead
Bay subway station.
Police arrested the suspects at

Battered up
A brute smacked a man in the
back with a bat on New Utrecht Avenue
on Jan. 31.
The victim told police that the
brother of his ex-girlfriend whacked
him in the back with a baseball bat
as he was getting into his car parked
between 63rd and 64th streets at 7:45
pm, before smashing the driver’s
side window of his car and running
off.
‘Gram scammer
An Instagram hoaxer scammed
a Bath Beach resident out of $4,000
on Jan. 30.
The victim told cops that the
hoaxer promised to send $8,000 to
the victim’s 19th Avenue house if
the victim sent him $4,000 fi rst, but
after the victim wired the cash at
9:30 pm, the con artist stopped responding.
Violent robbery
Cops cuffed two men for allegedly
punching a man during a botched
robbery on New Utrecht Avenue on
Jan. 31.
The victim told cops that the
suspects allegedly punched him in
the head and knocked him to the
ground near the intersection of New
Utrecht Avenue and 84th Street at
7:05 pm, before they tried to grab his
wallet — but the victim screamed,
causing the suspects to run off without
taking anything.
Police caught up with the suspects
and arrested them at 18th Avenue
and 86th Street after the victim
positively identifi ed them, according
to police reports.
Necklace arrest
Police busted a man for allegedly
trying to steal more than $5,000
worth of jewelry on 86th Street on
Jan. 31.
An employee told police that the
suspect allegedly stuffed a $500 pendant
and a $5,000 necklace in his
bag before attempting to fl ee the
store between Bay 28th and Bay
29th streets at 4:43 pm, but the employee
stopped him — but not before
the brute smashed the door’s $250
lock.
Police arrived on the scene and
arrested him on felony burglary
charges, according to police reports.

HOOK
Plate pirate
A bandit nabbed two license
plates from a car parked on Walcott
Street between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.
The victim told police that that
looter stole the New York plates from
her car parked between Otsego and
Dwight streets sometime between
11 pm on Feb. 1 and 5 pm the following
day.
Bike bandit
A thief nabbed a bike from Union
Street on Jan. 30.
The victim told cops that the
crook cut the chain on the $200 bike
that had been locked up on the corner
of Hicks Street between 1 am
and 8 am and rode off.
Cell hell
A thief stole a cellphone from outside
a Smith Street apartment sometime
between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2.
The victim told police that the
$79 Boost Mobile phone had been delivered
to her door inside the apartment
building between Third and
Fourth streets, before the bandit
stole it sometime between 10 am on
Jan 27 and 4 pm on Feb. 1.
AirPod punk
A pirate snagged a package on
Bond Street containing a pair of Apple
AirPods sometime between Jan.
27 and Feb. 1.
The victim told cops that the
looter stole the $272 earbuds from
outside the building on the corner
of First Avenue sometime between
11:58 pm on Jan. 27 and 4 pm on Feb.

Purse snatchers
Three scoundrels tried to rob a
woman on Sixth Avenue on Jan. 28.
The victim told police that two
of the cads acted as a lookout near
44th Street at around 4:10 pm, while
the third rifl ed through her purse,
without taking anything.
E-thief
Some worm robbed a delivery
guy’s e-bike on Sixth Avenue on
Feb. 2.
The victim told police that he
parked his ride near 46th street
shortly after midnight, when the
thief swiped the bike and rode off.
Pickpocket
A weasel robbed a woman on
Fourth Avenue on Jan. 26.
The victim told police that the
snake bumped into her near 63rd
Street at 2:00 pm, and swiped some
items from her open purse without
her noticing.
Carjacker
Some highway robber stole a car
from 50th Street on Jan. 29.
The victim told police that he left
his ride parked near Sixth Avenue
at noon, but when he returned at
5:24, the car had been stolen.
Scammed!
Some scammer swindled cash
from a 64-year-old woman on 33rd
Street on Jan. 20.
The victim told police that she
received a call from the “Social Security
Administration” at her home
near Fifth Avenue around 9 pm, and
the pirate claimed the government
would seize their assets unless she
wired $13,000 — which she did.

Basement burglar
Some criminal robbed a bike
from a Third Avenue apartment
building on Jan. 24.
The victim told police that the
lout broke into the basement near
11th Street at around 8 am and stole
the two-wheeled transport.
Whole crimes
Cops arrested a guy for allegedly
shoplifting from a Third Avenue
Whole Foods on Jan. 30.
An employee told police that the
alleged shoplifter put 24 dollars
worth of vegetables into a reusable
shopping bag at the grocer near
Third Street at 12:15 pm, before trying
to fl ee without paying.
Authorities arrested the suspect
and charged him with petit larceny.
Fancy shoes
Police cuffed a guy for allegedly
shoplifting from a Flatbush Avenue
Shopping Mall on Jan. 29.
A store employee told police that
the alleged thief put a $150 pair of
shoes into his backpack and tried
to walk out of the mall near Atlantic
Avenue.
Cops arrested the suspect and
charged him with petit larceny.
