Rubbed wrong
A thief made off with a man’s
wallet he left on a massage chair inside
an Avenue U shopping center
on Aug. 6.
The victim told police he police
he left his wallet at the mall near
Flatbush Avenue at 5:20 p.m., and
returned after a half-hour to fi nd
his valuables stolen.
The thief later used the victim’s
debit card to make an illicit $42 purchase
at a gas station, cops said.
Card shark
Some crook looted an unlocked
car parked on E. 64th Street on Aug.
6, stealing a wallet.
The victim told police he left
his car near Strickland Avenue at
11:30 p.m., and returned the following
morning to fi nd someone had let
themselves in and nabbed his credit
cards.
The burglar made several unsuccessful
attempts to purchase goods
with the victim’s cards, before ultimately
scoring paydirt at one retailer,
where he was able to secure a
$500 purchase, cops said.
The victim admitted to investigators
that he forgot to lock his car,
according to police.

Cops cuffed a man for allegedly
stabbing his brother inside of a W.
31st St. apartment on Aug. 6.
The victim told police that his
brother was tripping out on Angel
Dust when he kicked down the door
to his apartment between Mermaid
and Surf avenues at 9:45 a.m.
Once inside, the suspect broke
his brother’s fi sh tank, leaving the
fl oor littered with shattered glass
that the victim later cut his foot on,
before stabbing him repeatedly with
a fork, according to police.
Beach day
A thief nabbed a cell phone and
cash from an unattended bag in Coney
Island on July 30.
The victim told police she went
for a swim near Ocean Parkway
and Riegelmann Boardwalk at 10:00
a.m., when she returned to discover
a thief had nabbed $100 and her
phone, cops said.
Kids these days
Cops cuffed a woman for allegedly
punching her 75-year-old
mother inside an Avenue W apartment
building on Aug. 6.

A thief looted $1,000 worth of
tools from a city-owned car on Avenue
S on Aug. 5.
A civil servant told police he
parked the municipal car on E. 18th
Street at 8 a.m., only to return later
that evening to fi nd a lock damaged
and tools missing.
Family fued
A fi end attempted to kill his father
with a knife on Brigham Street
on Aug. 4.
The victim told police his son
entered his house near Avenue W
at 10:11 p.m., before lunging at him
with a knife in an attempt to end
hislife, before high tailing it on
Brigham Street towards Avenue X,
cops said.
Tough love
Cops arrested a man for punching
his girlfriend for not getting into
his car on Haring Street on Aug. 6.
The victim told police she refused
to enter her beau’s car parked
near Avenue Z at 5:00 p.m., when he
became enraged and he punched
her in the face multiple times, before
taking her headphones worth
$380, cops said.

Kitchen crime
A woman smacked her husband
repeatedly with a pot at their apartment
on 19th Avenue on Aug. 6.
The 61-year-old wife grabbed the
pot following a heated argument,
and bashed it over her husband’s
head several times inside their
home between Benson Avenue and
86th Street at 11:30 p.m., the victim
said.
The husband suffered laceration,
bruising, and swelling to his head,
and was treated a Maimonides Medical
Center, authorities reported.
Bathrobe burglary
A bandit wearing a blue robe and
a black towel on his head tried —
and failed — to burglarize a restaurant
on Shore Parkway on Aug. 7.
Surveillance footage shows the
towel-clad bandit breaking the front
glass of the restaurant by Bay Parkway
at 3:45 a.m., when he attempted
to break into the safe of the manager’s
offi ce, before trying to open two
cash registers, which were empty,
and the wannabe thief left through
the back door empty handed, police
said.
Violent crime
Two gunment held an 18-year-old
boy on New Utrecht Avenue on Aug.
10., stealing $50, his cellphone, and
his Puma sneakers.
The victims told police that he
was sitting at a subway stop near
71st Street at 1:20 a.m., when one
of the robbers grabbed him and
pointed a gun at his torso, while the
other goon demanded money and his
cellphone. The victim gave the ruffi
ans $50, but refused to give up his
cellphone, prompting the robbers to
punch him in the face, snatch his
Samsung J7, and take off with his
shoes, according to authorities.
Mugging theft
Two pistol-packing perps swiped
$200, a cell phone, and a MetroCard
from a man on 65th Street on Aug.
9. The victim told police that the
thieves approached him between
16th and 17th avenues at 12:40 a.m.
They demanded his wallet and
phone, and, when he refused, the
louts pulled out a silver revolver
and took his stuff, before hightailing
it, cops said.

Sunset stickup
Police arrested a man for allegedly
robbing another man at gunpoint
on Seventh Avenue on Aug.
10.
The victim told police that he
was walking between 61st and 62nd
streets with $7,000 in cash in a black
plastic bag at 4 p.m., when the suspect
pulled a gun on him and nabbed
the money.
Police tracked down the suspect
and arrested him hours later on felony
robbery charges, but did not recover
the fi rearm, cops said.
Apple picking
A thief stole a straphanger’s cellphone
at a Fourth Avenue subway
station on Aug. 6.
The victim told police that he
was aboard the Bay Ridge-bound R
train when the pilferer snatched the
phone at around 10 a.m., before fl eeing
the train as it pulled into 25th
Street.
Inside out
A burglar stole $121,000 worth of
property from a vacant 35th Street
warehouse on Aug. 1.
An employee told police that the
thief entered the storage facility between
Second and Third avenues
sometime between 8 a.m. and midnight,
before nabbing various electronics
and then hightailing it.
Rude!
A vandal smashed up a parked
car on 55th Street sometime between
Aug. 10 and 11, causing about
$250 worth of damage.
The car owner told police that he
left his car between Sixth and Seventh
avenues at around 7 p.m., and
returned the next morning to fi nd
his hood dented and side mirrors
cracked.
Cash grab
Cops arrested a man for allegedly
robbing another man on Fort
Hamilton Parkway on Aug. 11.
The victim waved down a patrolman
and told him that the suspect
had punched him and stole cash
from his wallet near E. Fifth Street
at around 6:50 a.m.
The cops tracked down the man
shortly after and arrested him on
felony robbery charges, according
to police reports.
Bad roommate
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
assaulting his roommate at their
52nd Street home on Aug. 11.
The victim told police that he began
arguing with the suspect in the
apartment between Seventh and
Eighth avenues at around 1 a.m.,
when the suspect allegedly threw
his cellphone at the victim, before
punching him repeatedly.
Police arrived on the scene and
charged the suspect with felony assault,
according to police reports.
