Besides going for a walk, run, or bicycle
ride, golfing is one of the few physical
activities still allowed — no full-contact
sports! — during social-distancing
mandates. Many golf courses are closed,
but as of press time Nassau County-run
18-hole golf courses at Eisenhower Park,
plus nine-hole courses in Hicksville,
Roslyn, and North Woodmere, remain
open, but with limited tee times
and online preregistration required.

HUNT FOR RAINBOWS
Rainbows have become a symbol of
hope in the coronavirus era, with the
colorful displays turning up all over
Long Island as quarantined residents
try to stay positive and look for the
bright side coming after the storm.
There are so many now you can take the
kids out for a rainbow scavenger hunt
after you create your own image. Find
ideas to create them at the Facebook
group Rainbows over Nassau and Suffolk
Counties and Beyond.

SHARE A LAUGH
Saturday Night Live alum Jim Breuer,
the Valley Stream native whose
monthly standup comedy residency
at The Paramount in Huntington is
currently on hold along with all other
live events, is prolific on social media,
regularly sharing new videos for his
fans. And while there may not be a
cure for coronavirus, laughter remains
the best medicine. He’s also got
some inspirational messages to help
keep you going. Keep up with him at

VIRTUAL CHEERS
We all miss sharing a drink with friends
at the pub after work. And now that
work and family life all blend together
with many people telecommuting for
weeks (months?) on end, the need to
blow off steam is even greater. But don’t
go drinking alone, join a Skype or Zoom
happy hour! Here’s one way to get started:

Bummed your kid can’t sit on the

taken this year? Here’s the next
best thing: Pay a rabbit or princess
character $25 to stop by your home,
wave hello from a safe distance,
and leave a special goodie bag.
