LAST OF THE BODEGAS
This is the facade of a neighborhood bodega just north of the
Queensbridge Housing Complex.
There used to be dozens of places like these around the
neighborhood.
As this area of Long Island City continues to gentrify, these
mom and pop businesses are less frequently seen. The changing
demographics of our neighborhood is transforming our urban
landscape . Very soon, this type of store will be a thing of the past.
