The Dining Diva:
Yummy Tummy

Northern Blvd. is now
home to the first Singaporean
restaurant in all of Flushing,
Queens, an area that has
been mainly surrounded by
Korean restaurants. Yummy
Tummy opened earlier this
year and is run by a wonderful
chef, Richard, and his
partner, Danny. The atmosphere
is clean and appealing,
with lots of light-hued
wood and white walls and
brass finishes.
The menu has a lot of choices
of pasta, grainy delights,
beef, chicken, pork, seafood,
vegetables, sides, snacks,
desserts and beverages. All
the dishes are Southeast
Asian comfort foods. There
are Malaysian, Chinese and
Thai influences along with
Taiwanese and Korean touches.
The boneless Hainanese
chicken served with green
and red chili sauces is a
favorite of many customers,
as are their crab dishes! The
soups and veggies are also
delicious.
The Restaurant is open
every day except Tuesdays.
Hours are weekdays from 12
Noon until 9:30pm; Saturday
from 12 Noon until 10pm;
and Sunday from 11:30am
until 9:30pm. Lunch specials
are served Monday through
Friday from 12 noon until
4:00pm (except holidays).
There is an upstairs room
for private parties that is
also used for extra seating.
