Marbella
BY HELENE OELERICH
This neighborhood spot in Bayside
has been serving authentic Spanish
cuisine and sangria since 1967. The
restaurant has elegance in its white
tablecloth setting, lovely lighting and
sweet ambience.
The fresh and delicious food, as
well as great service, is highly recommended.
Nice portions of lamb osso buco,
mixed shellfish including lobster,
Chilean sea bass, and filet of sole in
champagne sauce are just a few of the
many selections.
Sangria made tableside with a variety
of liquors was wonderful, and I’m
looking
forward to paella on my next return!
There are also special menus,
entree selections, side dishes, cocktail
hour selections, as well as Italian and
Continental cuisines. Flavorful dishes
from many regions of Spain, as well
as French masterpieces, are also on
the menu. Check out the menu yourself
at marbella-restaurant.com. And
if you’re looking to throw a party for
a special occasion, Marbella offers
several private rooms for your event.
Marbella is located at 220-33
Northern Blvd., connected to the Best
Western Hotel. Parking is on the
street or in the hotel’s private parking
lot. Hours are 11am-11pm Monday
through Thursday and 11am-12am
Friday through Sunday. Reservations

Enjoy!
Le Havre Lends
Support To LeCats
BY PAM GRECO
Following many months of anxiety
about the future of the LeCats On The
Water feral cat colony, Stanley Greenberg
and Steve Young, our Board of Directors’
President and Vice President, respectively,
have worked diligently on behalf of Le
Havre and developed a contingency plan
to ensure the safety and continued existence
of the 20-year old cat colony regardless
of what others may have in store for
the vacant lot at the foot of 9th Avenue and
Totten Street.
We are grateful to Steve and Stanley for their
help and for the promise to protect the feral
cat colony from any unwarranted disruption
or removal from the shoreline area which has
long been their home should the need arise.
We can now confidently look forward to a
mutually supportive and beneficial future that
will provide a safe haven for our feral cats.
