Dozens of residents brought their children to create holidaythemed works of art, meet Santa Claus, and most importantly, celebrate the spirit of the season by giving to children less fortunate than themselves. According to show organizer, Nick Santo, more than three hundred toys were donated, enough to fill the van the Marines used to transport gifts. In addition, more than $2,000 dollars was raised, not including money collected from the raffle drawing. Le Havre graciously donated the art supplies and sandwiches, goodies and refreshments were provided by Logan’s Catering. “Christmas has gotten so commercial that people forget the true meaning behind it,” says Margaret Costello, manager of the management office. “This event helps them remember.
