L E H A V R E N E W S 3 JANUARY/FEBRUARY PRESIDENT’S REPORT: BY STANLEY R. GREENBERG, CPA I hope that everyone is bearing up well to this exceptional streak of cold weather. Just think that six months from now you will be basking in the sun at the pool and winter will be just a bad memory. GAS CONVERSION: We now have eighteen buildings utilizing gas for heating purposes and we hope to have nine additional buildings on gas during the month of February. Con Ed workers are diligently installing gas piping tin the streets to enable us to hook up the rest of our buildings. The five buildings on 12th Avenue will be the last to be connected to gas and we are hoping that they will be hooked up by March. FINANCIAL: The 6 months through December 31, 2013 (budgeted versus actual) showed revenues $8,068,553 (50.71%) of the budgeted amount and total expenses $6,878,165 (45.36%) of the budgeted amount as reported by our accountants. SNOW CLEAN UP: I would like to thank Piotr, Charlie, Anthony, Roman and the entire Maintenance Department staff for the excellent job performed during the recent snowstorms. In closing I hope that temperatures start to moderate and don’t forget that Spring is just around the corner. As always, thank you for your continued support throughout the year.
