Trio punches teen in Middle Village: NYPD

Middle Village
The NYPD is looking for three men
who tried to rob a 12-year-old boy on a
Middle Village street last month.
According to police, at 5:20 p.m. on
Sept. 12, a 12-year-old boy was walking
on Juniper Boulevard South near
69th Place when he was approached by
three unknown men. One of the men
punched the boy in the face and demanded
his cellphone.
The victim was able to flee the scene
before any property was taken. The
suspects fled the scene in an unknown
direction.
On Oct. 7, the NYPD released photos
of the suspects taken from nearby
surveillance footage.

to the identities of the males is asked

Corona
Cops seek teens in connection with church fire

Cops are asking for help in identifying
two teenagers who were caught
on video allegedly setting a fire near a
church in Corona.
On Sept. 10 just before 1 a.m., the
teens — believed to be between 13 and
15 years old — used an unknown tool to
break into a shed located behind Our
Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic
Church — located at 104-11 37th Ave.
— and removed two gas canisters from
inside, according to authorities.
Police said the teens then used gasoline
from inside the canisters to light a
piece of cloth on fire before fleeing the
scene with the gas cans. No damage
was reported relating to the fire.
Authorities released video of the
incident on Oct. 3 that shows the teens
setting the fire.

Fresh Meadows
Suspects sought in Fresh Meadows home invasions

Cops are looking for four suspects
who tried to break into a Fresh Meadows
home early Friday morning.
Police say that at 1 a.m. on Oct. 4,
four unknown individuals tried to
break into a residence in the vicinity
of 50th Avenue and 175th Place. The
group was unsuccessful and fled the
scene in a dark-colored mini-van.
The mini-van was ultimately abandoned
in front of a home on 52nd Avenue
near 108th Street. No injuries
were reported as a result of the incident.
Two of the suspects were spotted
on video ditching their firearms in
front of 51-23 108th St., which was released
by the NYPD on Oct. 5:

Elmhurst
One injured in early morning Elmhust stabbing

Cops are looking for
a suspect who stabbed
a man in Elmhurst
early Monday morning.
According to authorities,
at 3:14 a.m.
on Oct. 7, police responded
to a 911 call regarding
a man stabbed
at Duo Gastro Pub,
located at 40-37 75th
St. Upon their arrival,
officers learned that a 25-year-old man
had been stabbed in the stomach by an
unknown man following a verbal dispute.
At this time, it is not clear if the
suspect and victim were known to
each other or what the argument was
about.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst
Hospital by private means. Following
the incident, the suspect fled the scene
in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic
man with a goatee, standing 5
feet, 10 inches tall. He was last seen
wearing a gray T-shirt.
No arrests have been made at this
time. The investigation is ongoing.
