A Word from
the Director
Welcome!
Thank you so much for joining us for one of our performances. We know
you have many choices about how to spend your leisure hours, and we are
grateful for each time you choose to spend it here.
2019 marks our 40th anniversary – 40 years of welcoming the world through
our doors, to celebrate arts and culture from all over the globe. Over the last
year, we served over 70,000 people through curated programs, educational
activities, off-site programs, and rentals.
We are proud to showcase traditional and contemporary works of emerging
and master artists, both local and international, including music, dance,
theater, film, puppetry, and visual arts. Through our space grant we offer free
space for artists to develop, rehearse, and create new work.
We also offer arts education and public outreach programs to children and
adults here at Flushing Town Hall as well as in schools and senior centers,
serving more than 31,000 over the last year – so if you are a teacher or a
parent who wants to share the joy of the arts; please get in touch.
