Bike rider slugs woman with fist
while pedaling down Financial
District street

Detectives need the public’s help in
fi nding the bike-riding brute who
punched a woman while pedaling
down a Financial District street earlier this
week.
Law enforcement sources said the attack
happened at 9:40 a.m. on Aug. 31 along
Water Street near Wall Street.
According to authorities, the cycling
creep rode a CitiBike southbound along
Water Street and approached the victim.
He then struck her with a closed fi st and
pedaled away in an unknown direction.
The incident was reported to the 1st
Precinct. Cops said the victim suffered
swelling to the left side of her mouth, but
refused medical attention.
On Sept. 1, the NYPD released video
footage of the assailant. Police did not
provide a physical description.

Gunman sought for shooting man
in leg during Midtown dispute

Detectives are looking
for the gunman
who shot a man in
the leg during an argument
in Midtown early on Monday
morning.
Police released on Tuesday
morning video footage
of the assailant behind the
Aug. 31 shooting, which
took place at 5:40 a.m. in
front of 1560 Broadway, in
the Theater District.
According to authorities,
the victim, a man in his 30s,
got into a verbal dispute
with the gunman which
led to a physical altercation.
Police did not provide
a possible motive that triggered
the argument.

Cops seek crook who slashed and
robbed two people in Midtown

Cops are looking for a crook who
slashed and robbed a man and
woman in Manhattan last week.
According to the NYPD, an unknown
man approached a 44-year-old man and a
32-year-old woman at the corner of West
42nd Street and 5th Avenue at 1 p.m. on
Aug. 27. The suspect swiped the woman’s
cellphone and slashed both victims with a
sharp object — the man was slashed in the
torso and the woman in the arm.
The suspect then fl ed the scene in an
unknown direction.
On Aug. 28, the NYPD released a photo
of the suspect taken from surveillance footage.
He is described as a dark-skinned man
between the ages of 30 and 45 years old,
standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing
170 pounds. He was last seen wearing red
pants, black shoes and no shirt.

Offi cers from the Midtown
North Precinct and
EMS units responded to
the scene. Paramedics
brought the victim to Bellevue
Hospital in stable
condition.
Police described the
suspect as a man believed
to be 20 and 30 years of
age. The video shows him
waiting at an elevator bay.

Brute punches senior woman
in face for no reason near
Union Square

Police are looking for
the public’s help in
fi nding the assailant
who randomly attacked
a 66-year-old woman in
Union Square last week.
The NYPD released on
Saturday images of the
creep behind the attack,
which took place at 8:38
a.m. on Aug. 25 in front of
a store at 45 East 17th St.
According to police, the
suspect approached the
victim and punched her
in the face, then fl ed from
the scene. It appeared to
be a random attack; law
enforcement sources said
the victim did not know
her attacker.
The incident was reported
to the 13th Precinct. The
victim sustained pain and
swelling to her face, but
refused medical attention
at the scene.
The NYPD obtained the
small images of the suspect
from cameras inside Union
Square Park, recorded
shortly after the assault.
