Side attack

Cops need the public’s
help in finding the
CitiBike-riding assailant
who brutally stabbed a 44-yearold
man on the Lower East Side
last week.
Law enforcement sources
said the victim got into a dispute
with the attacker in front of 107
Clinton St., just off Delancey
Street, at about 8:50 a.m. on
the morning of Aug. 23. Police
did not disclose what set off the
argument.
The street beef turned
bloody, police reported, as the
victim attempted to walk away
from the argument. Cops said
the perpetrator pulled out a
knife and stabbed the man
multiple times about the chest.
The assailant then got on a
CitiBike and fl ed the scene in an
unknown direction, authorities
said.

Police described the culprit as
a man with a light complexion
believed to be 30 years of age
and standing 5 feet tall, with a
large, black hairdo and facial
hair. He was last seen wearing
a black hooded sweatshirt, black
shorts and black sneakers.

Alleged Penn Station shooter cuffed for wounding bystander

Manhattan detectives picked up a
Brooklyn man Aug. 27 on charges
that he fi red a shot during an argument
outside Penn Station that wound up
striking an innocent bystander last week.
Marvin Bruce, 27, of Prospect Place
in Weeksville faces charges of assault, attempted
assault and criminal possession of
a weapon for the Aug. 23 shooting near the
corner of West 31st Street and 7th Avenue
in the heart of the afternoon rush hour.
Law enforcement sources said Bruce
allegedly got into a dispute at about 5:42
p.m. Monday with an unidentifi ed individual
inside Penn Station which eventually
spilled out onto the street. It’s believed that
the argument initially broke out over food,
Subway creep attacks woman
on 1 train in Chelsea: NYPD

Detectives need the

the subway creep who
exposed himself to a woman on
board a subway train in Chelsea
on Monday morning, then accosted
her afterward.
Police said the incident happened
at about 11:25 a.m. on Aug.
30 on board a South Ferry-bound
1 train approaching the 28th
Street station.
According to law enforcement
sources, the creep walked up to
the 23-year-old woman, stood
next to her and placed his exposed
junk on her right arm.
Seconds later, cops reported,
both the victim and the suspect
exited the train at the 28th
Street stop. Upon disembarking,
authorities said, the woman
confronted the creep and began
taking photos of him with her
cellphone.
Police said this prompted the
pervert to grab the phone out
of her hand and hurl it to the
ground, damaging the device. He
then shoved her away and bolted

station just after the attack.

58-year-old man walking through the area.
Police Commissioner Dermot Shea, on
Monday, said the victim had nothing to do
with the argument, and was merely walking
through the area on his way to meet
his wife. EMS units rushed the victim to
Bellevue Hospital for treatment of injuries
that were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect, meanwhile, fl ed the scene
in an unknown direction. Police froze off
parts of the area immediately around Penn
Station following the shooting in search of
the suspect, but to no avail.
Detectives ultimately linked Bruce to the
crime through a fi rearm found in a nearby
trash can, according to WABC-TV. Police
sources did not have immediate details as
to where and how Bruce was apprehended.
