Video shows suspect attacking
Manhattan deli employee
for no apparent reason
opening the store, located at 300 8th Avenue,
when he was approached from behind
by an unknown man. The man proceeded
to hit the employee with an unknown hard
object in an unprovoked attack.
The suspect then fl ed the scene in an
unknown direction. The victim suffered
a laceration to the back of his head and
was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable
condition.
On April 26, the NYPD released a video
of the suspect during the attack.

Cops investigate double shooting
in Harlem that left one man dead

One man was killed and another was
seriously injured after they were
shot outside a Harlem apartment
building early Saturday morning, police
reported.
Law enforcement sources said the shooting
took place at 12:55 a.m. on April 25 in
the area of West 143rd Street and Lenox
Avenue.
Offi cers from the 32nd Precinct, after being
alerted through the NYPD ShotSpotter
program, found 30-year-old Giovanni Otho
unconscious and unresponsive after taking
a bullet to his torso. Nearby, cops located
a 26-year-old man who suffered gunshot
wounds to his left foot and right elbow.
It’s unclear how many individuals were
involved in the shooting. A source familiar
with the case, however, said the incident
may have stemmed from an earlier dispute.

Five suspects sought stealing cash and shoes
in knifepoint robbery in Manhattan: cops

Cops are looking for a group
of crooks who robbed two
people at knifepoint in a
Manhattan apartment.
According to police, at 1:38
a.m. on April 10, four unknown
individuals kicked in the door of
an apartment located in the vicinity
of Macombs Place and West 150th
Street. Once inside, the suspects
held a 20-year-old woman and
23-year-old woman at knifepoint
while they forcibly took $4,000
cash and 20 pairs of sneakers
valued at $6,000.
The suspects then fl ed the scene
in a gray Ford van, driven by a
fi fth unknown person, to parts
unknown. There were no reported
injuries as a result of the incident.
On April 24, the NYPD released
photos and video of the
suspects taken at the incident
location.The fi rst suspect is described
as a female with a light
complexion, thin build with long
straight red hair, standing 5 feet,
4 inches tall and weighing 135
Paramedics rushed both victims to
nearby NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.
Otho, who lived on 7th Avenue in the
Theater District, died a short time later.
The 26-year-old man was listed in stable
condition.
No arrests have been made, and the
investigation is ongoing, police said.
The ShotSpotter system involves a
network of sensors designed to detect the
sound of gunshots and automatically alert
police.

hair and a full beard, standing 5
feet, 10 inches tall and weighing
170 pounds. He was last seen
wearing a white jogging jacket,
white jogging pants and white
sneakers.
The last suspect, also male, is described
as having a light complexion,
a thin build, short dark hair
and a full beard, and standing 5
feet, 9 inches tall. He was last seen
wearing grey pants, black sneakers
and a white hooded sweatshirt with
the letters EXP on the back.

According to police, at 6 a.m. on April

Cops arrest creep for
sexually assaulting a
woman in a Manhattan alley

A Westchester man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting
a woman near her Manhattan apartment.
According to police, at 8:20 p.m. on April 22, a 32-yearold
woman entered her apartment building, located in the vicinity
of Sherman Avenue and Dyckman Street, when an unknown man
knocked on the vestibule door. Thinking that he lived in the building,
the woman opened the door for him.
As she started to walk up the stairs, the suspect grabbed the
victim from behind and forced her outside into a side alley, where
the suspect tried to remove the victim’s pants but was ultimately
unsuccessful. The suspect forced the victim to perform a sex act
on him before fl eeing the scene to parts unknown. The victim was
transported to Allan Pavilion Hospital, where she was treated and
released.
On April 27, police arrested 33-year-old Andre Gilmore, of Yonkers,
in connection to the crime. He was charged with attempted
rape, burglary, and criminal sex act.
