Boo! Kids’ 2017 Halloween Party--
The weather was perfect on October 28 when the
Quality of Life Committee hosted its second annual
Halloween Party for Cryder Point kids, friends, and
their grown-ups. And the partygoers flew in: bees,
witches, astronauts, a little owl, butterflies, pirates,
fairies, zombies, princesses and mermaids, and even
an ice-cream man and pizza man showed up.
The party started on the pool deck, where the
nearly 40 kids joined in to play games, competed for
prizes and enjoyed some candy, juice and snacks (the
“scary cookies” were the biggest hits). Later, activities
moved over to the 21/41 courtyard for relay and sack
races. The area was decorated with a beautiful pumpkin
and hay display (courtesy of Queens Garden) and
spider webs on the trees, which got everyone in the
spooky spirit.
The QOL gathered 16 volunteers to help make the
day happen, and they started early in the morning to
set everything up (fortified by some coffee and bagels
to keep them going!). A special nod goes to Irene
Magnozzi, Marcia Coughlin and Krista Berg for planning,
organizing and shopping for everything needed,
and a special shout-out goes to Beverly Jacobs’ grandson,
Jarrett Jacobs, for his terrific help with the kids
and for taking many of the photos you see here.
Thanks to all of the QOL volunteers: Dorene Finnegan,
CeCe Schob, Deborah Berg, Sheila Vaughan,
Jean Curnyn, Vinnie Cinque, Eneida Newell, Mary
Tompkins. Pat Wise, Marsha Gellert, Mona Blumenreich,
and Board liaison Eileen Annechino.
Needless to say, everyone had a wicked good time!
Happy Halloween everybody!
Busy bees getting in the spirit!
Giggle “ America’s next to model! I prefer my pizza with mushrooms.” Hey, I’m just hangin’ out…
