COVID VACCINE UPDATE
At press time, in NYS approximately
1/3 fully of the population
has been fully vaccinated. That
number is close to the rate in
NYC, and in Queens, almost
half (48%) of residents have
received at least one dose.
Vaccinations are now open to
anyone age 16 and above and
walk-in vaccinations are available
in most areas.
According to the CDC, even if
you’ve been fully vaccinated:
You should still protect yourself
and others in many situations by
wearing a mask that fits snugly against the
sides of your face and doesn’t have gaps. Take
this precaution whenever you are:
In indoor public settings
Gathering indoors with unvaccinated people
(including children) from more than one
other household
Visiting indoors with an unvaccinated person
who is at increased risk of severe illness
or death from COVID-19 or who lives with a
person at increased risk
You should still avoid indoor large gatherings
. The CDC provides regular updates on their
guidelines. Visit cdc.org for more information,
and please also continue to follow Cryder
Point’s Covid protocols. Thank you.
2021 POOL SEASON
I am pleased to report that the pool will
open on time this year, Saturday, May 29.
Covid precautions will remain in effect, and
we are working with Elite to stay updated
should any of the guidelines change. Applications
have been distributed. Please read them
carefully as there are some changes this year,
including a new weeknight membership plan.
I am also pleased to confirm that Shaun
McNally and Alexa Capo will be returning as
Manager and Assistant Manager of our pool
this year under the watchful eye of their supervisor,
Nick Santo. In a year that’s been filled
with changes, it’s especially nice to have
our “regular crew” back, and we’re
looking forward to a terrific pool
season.
Important: Co-op Lease Extension
Reminder
Ballots were mailed to all
shareholders to vote on the
extension of the co-op’s underlying
lease. As explained,
the co-op needs a minimum
of 75% of shares voting in favor
of the lease extension to take effect.
This extension is extremely
important for buyers to obtain financing
and shareholders who wish
to refinance. Reminders have been sent to
those who have not yet returned their ballot.
Please return your ballot to Management as
soon as possible.
BUILDINGLINK REMINDER
Approximately 2/3 of apartments have registered
with BuildingLink, but not all have activated
their accounts. Those of you who have
active accounts are aware of the many updates
that are sent out from Management using this
tool, such as emergency repair notifications,
etc. It’s a lot faster and more efficient than using
paper notices, and everyone is urged to sign up.
Please contact Bridget Matus in the office if you
have any questions about how to get started.
MANAGEMENT OFFICE
APPOINTMENTS REMINDER
The Management Office is open Monday–
Friday from 10 am until 4 pm. Please note that
hours are now by appointment only (no walkins).
This is to minimize the amount of traffic
in and out of the office, not only for safety/
health reasons, but also to allow Management
to provide sufficient time and better service to
each resident.
To schedule an appointment, please call the
office at 718-767-5003 or email Stacey Pankavich
at spankavich@cryderpoint.com or Bridget
Matus at bmatus@cryderpoint.com.

available.
No congregating!
Always practice social distancing, i.e., stay 6
feet away from the next person, even if you
are wearing a mask
If you don’t feel well
Seek medical care if you are not feeling well
for 3 to 4 days.
Unfortunately, not everyone is tested for the
virus.
The symptoms vary widely, so it’s difficult
to tell if you actually have the coronavirus if
you have not been tested.
However, you will likely be advised by your
medical professional to self-quarantine. It
is imperative that you do so until you are
medically cleared.
Notify Management so that you can be
assisted, e.g., having your trash picked up
outside your door.
