He promises three certified lifeguards on duty at all times -- morning and afternoon. And he runs a tight ship. With the change in management comes a change at the gate, says Steve. Starting this year -- the pool season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day -- is a sign-up sheet. So that the management can keep track of the pool use, he explains, residents will be asked to sign in at the gate. That way, he can track how the pool and its facilities are being used -- when things are busy and how residents are using the pool. Nothing off the deep end, just a better way for us to see if the water is fine. new manager. “Forget about what you’re used to,” says Steve Warman, “you’re going to have a good summer.” Warman, a distinguished high-school swim coach who turns to pool management when school is out, knows from good summers. He has spent the previous 47 summers running pools for resorts, country clubs and communities (including nextdoor Le Havre in the 1970s) in and around New York.
