Cryder Point Coat Drive
Warms the Heart!
Following Cryder Point’s firstever
coat drive in February,
CeCe Schob and Eileen Annechino
sorted through all of the donations.
In all, our generous residents
donated 103 coats, which CeCe and
Eileen bagged and brought to P.S. 9
(the Walter Reed School) in Maspeth,
Queens.
P.S. 9 was listed as a collection organization
under OneWarmCoat.org.
The school collects coats, among
other items, throughout the year for
The River Fund, which is supported
by the GlobalGivingFund.org for its
community work. The River Fund
(www.riverfund-ny.org) offers a
number of services and educational
programs with a wide reach to shelters,
the disenfranchised, and the underserved
community.
Thanks go out to everyone who donated,
as well as to the Quality of Life
Committee for setting up the drive.
Special kudos go to CeCe and Eileen
for all their time and effort. Let’s do it
again next year! The coats at P.S. 9, ready to be distributed to those in need.
