Photo of the Month

A reminder about the contest rules:
The photographer must be a resident of Cryder Point,
and all photos must of the property or of a view from
the property. They also must be current, that is, taken no
more than a couple of months before you submit them.
Any description of where you were on the property,
the day of week or time of day…any details that you can
provide which bring your neighbors into the moment of
the photo…are eagerly welcomed.
Submit your pictures to jdavis@qns.com and yours
might be selected to be featured in the paper. Please be
sure to put “Cryder Point Photo” in the subject line of
your email and include the full name of the photographer
and an approximate date of the picture.
When we get our first big storm of ’22, we can look back
longingly at the gentle dusting of snow we had on Christmas
Eve, courtesy of Marsha Gellert. And in keeping with
the holidays, Rob Cohen gave us the first snapshot of the
New Year.
Rob also keeps an eye out to see what’s happening on the
river, and so we can rest assured that the Coast Guard is
doing their job. Thanks to Marsha for her other contributions
as well. She always has a knack for getting the most
of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets here, while Michael
Conte gives us a glistening image of the bridge.
So here we are in January, and believe it or not the days
are getting longer, if only minute-by-minute. And also in
the category of believe it or not, sometimes the most interesting
photos are taken in winter. So keep that camera
ready! And a Happy New Year to all.
