Decomposing man’s body found
in Lower East Side apartment

The NYPD is investigating the death
of an 87-year-old man who was
found dead in his apartment in
Manhattan on Tuesday morning.
Sources familiar with the investigation
said that the victim had signs of decomposition
and a foul odor was coming from the
apartment. The victim’s wife was said to be
home at the time he was found.
Authorities say that at 11:35 a.m. on Oct.
20, police responded to a 911 call regarding
an aided man inside an apartment located
at 383 Grand Street. Upon their arrival,
offi cers found the 87-year-old victim lying
in a bed in the apartment unconscious and
unresponsive.
EMS rushed to the location and declared
the victim dead at the scene. His
identity is being withheld pending family
notifi cation.
At this time, it is not immediately clear
if the victim suffered any injuries prior to
his death, or if there is any evidence of foul
play. The Medical Examiner will determine
the cause of death.
The investigation is going.
Pair of Chelsea shootings
under investigation

Cops are investigating
a pair of shooting in
Chelsea earlier this
week.
the first happened in
Manhattan at about 6:30
p.m. on Oct. 18, when a
man was shot in the neck
at the 14th Street station on
the 1/2/3 lines in Chelsea.
The victim brought himself
to Lenox Health Greenwich
Village for treatment
after the shooting.
Law enforcement sources,
however, did not have
information about why the
victim was shot, or a description
of the perpetrator.
No arrests have been made.
Then, early on the
morning of Oct. 21 at 3:45
a.m., a 32-year-old man
was shot at West 26th
Street and Ninth Avenue
A triple shooting on Tuesday night left two teens
and a man suffering from injuries.

detectives from the 10th
Precinct that an unknown
man began fi ring at him at
the location and ran.
The victim was taken to
Bellevue Hospital in stable

Brazen armed bandits steal bag
of cash at Greenwich Village store

Detectives need help in fi nding two
men who robbed a Greenwich Village
gift store at gunpoint earlier
this week.
Police released on Friday security camera
images of the thieves responsible for
the Oct. 13 heist, which took place at 6:35
p.m. inside the 8th Street Gift Store at 46
West 8th St.
for possible pictures of the
shooter.

According to law enforcement sources,
the suspects walked into the location and
encountered a 33-year-old worker. One
of the perpetrators then displayed a black
fi rearm and demanded cash.
Authorities said the employee then handed
over a leather bag containing $800 in cash to
the suspects, who then fl ed the scene on foot
westbound along West 8th Street.
The heist was later reported to the 6th
Precinct. As shown in the security camera
photos, one of the suspects wore
a black baseball cap, a black face
covering, a purple dress shirt, black
slacks and gray shoes. His cohort
wore a black knit cap, a blue surgical
mask over his mouth, a black jacket
over a gray shirt and black pants.

Subway creeps groped, photographed
women in lewd Manhattan incidents

Two lecherous subway creeps were
sought by police separate perverted
incidents in Manhattan, police
reported.
Law enforcement sources said the most
recent incident happened in Midtown
at 6:50 a.m. on Oct. 16, when a pervert
groped a 26-year-old woman at the Lexington
Avenue-61st Street station.
According to police, the victim was
waiting for an uptown 6 train on the platform
when the creep approached her from
behind and grabbed her buttocks while
saying, “Your butt is so fat.”
Following the attack, the victim pulled
out her cellphone and recorded her attacker
on video. He’s shown attempting to cover
his face.
Late on Monday night, police annoounced
the arrest of Vernon Hodelin of
Jamaica, Queens for the incident. He was
charged with forcible touching, sexual
abuse and harassment.
The second incident involved a man who
secretly recorded a woman at the 7th Avenue
subway station, near West 53rd Street,
on the B line at 2:02 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Law enforcement sources said the
25-year-old victim walked up a staircase
while exiting the station when the creep
approached her from behind. He then lifted
up her dress and took a cellphone picture
of her buttocks.
After snapping the dirty picture, cops
said, the pervert fl ed out of the station in
an unknown direction.

The man on the left allegedly groped
a woman at the Lexington Avenue-
51st Street station on Oct. 16, while
the suspect on the right allegedly
took a picture of a woman’s buttocks
at the 7th Avenue station in Midtown
back in September, police reported.
Cops described the voyeur as a man in
his 20s with a thin build and light complexion,
standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and
weighing about 140 pounds, with black
hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing
a blue t-shirt, a black mask, black shorts,
black socks and white sneakers while carrying
a black book bag.
Police obtained security camera footage
of the creep exiting through a subway
turnstile.
