 BEST BAR
 CUBBYHOLE
 281 West 12th St (917) 549-2878
 www.cubbyholebar.com
When Cubbyhole threatened to close down
in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and
economic turndown, when so many small
businesses were throwing in the towel, patrons
flocked to GoFundMe to save Lisa Menachino’s
beloved watering hole. Located in the heart
of the West Village, Cubbyhole caters to the
lesbian community and operates as a respite
from the rest of the world where LGBTQ folks
can gather together. Newly reopened, Cubbyhole
boasts new frozen cocktail machines that create
delicious daiquiris, margaritas and frose to their
devoted following. Cubbyhole, one of the last
two lesbian bars in New York City, is a staple in
the community to grab a drink and a bite to eat
with other like-minded folks and feel accepted.

 BEST BARTENDER
 JACK MCGARRY- THE DEAD
 RABBIT GROCERY AND GROG
 30 Water St (646) 422-7906
 www.deadrabbitnyc.com
Known as a “cocktail virtuoso” and “walking
drinks encyclopedia”, Jack McGarry has earned
the title of Best Bartender through years of
mixing drinks. McGarry began his career in
Belfast, where he started bussing tables and
soon graduated to bartending in the city’s
budding nightlife scene. He then brought his
talents to NYC to open the Dead Rabbit, a
ground floor pub built on the Irish tradition
 of hospitality and community. According
to reviewers, watching McGarry make their
drinks is like a show. Just a few of his must try
creations include the Disco Queen — made with
white rum, vermouth, ginger and grapefruit
 — Doctor’s Orders — a concoction of bourbon,
cinnimon and vanilla, of course, perfected
classics like Irish punch and Irish coffee!
