sign up for Skate School. There
are instructional classes for adults
and children. Private lessons can
be arranged for individuals and
groups.
While the Winterland Rink
attracts tourists looking for this
quintessential city encounter, it is
also a fabulous destination for local

Daily rink tickets with neighborhood
pricing must be purchased in
person.
Getting to the rink is easy. It’s
a short walk from both the Fulton
Transit Center and World Trade
Center Transportation hub. It is
only minutes from Pier 11 and the
NYC Ferry terminal. If driving,
take the FDR Drive.
Admission costs range from
$14-$35, depending on the day,
whether skates are rented, and if
there are any special promotions.
Locker rentals and equipment to
keep you on the cutting edge are
available at additional costs.

Now you can now skate across
ice while surrounded by majestic
views of the New York City skyline.
The Winterland Rink, located
at The Rooftop at Pier 17, is New
York City’s only open-air rooftop
ice rink, offering a bird’s eye view
of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
It opened for the first time last
season, and was so much fun, its
second season is in full swing. It’s
part of the newly revitalized Seaport
District attractions.
Ice skating in the city is a classic
New York experience, but this
brings the sport to new heights.
There are plenty of magical
moments to be captured, including
Winterland Rink’s mountain
sculpture. You’ll feel like you are
skating in The Alps.
The Winterland Rink offers
family fun for the entire clan, with
concession stands providing a variety
of foods and beverages. Sip
hot chocolate and cider;eat veggie
chili, fried chicken sandwiches,
poutine fries, and lots more.
Guests over the age of 21 can enjoy
seasonal cocktails, craft beer, and
mulled wine, a great way to warm
up from the cold. Or, take advantage
