The NYPD is looking
for a group of suspects
who attacked
and robbed a man in the
East Village last month.
Authorities say that at
12:42 p.m. on Jan. 13,
a 29-year-old man was
standing in the vicinity of
1st Avenue and East 3rd
Street when he was approached
by a group of
unknown individuals. The
group proceeded to punch
the victim multiple times
throughout his body.
The crooks then
snatched the victim’s cellphone
before fl eeing the
scene on East 3rd Street.
The victim suffered a fractured
jaw as a result and
was taken to NYC Health
& Hospitals/Bellevue for
treatment.

Detectives need the public’s help in
fi nding the assailant who scalded
a 46-year-old man with hot liquid
during an attack in the West Village last
month.
Police released photos on Monday night
of the attacker sought for the assault that
occurred at about 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 16
in front of a business on West 14th Street
near 5th Avenue.
Law enforcement sources said the assailant
approached the victim from behind and
knocked him to the ground. The suspect
then threw a cup of hot liquid on the man
and ran away southbound on 5th Avenue
toward West 13th Street.
Offi cers from the 6th Precinct responded
to the incident. The victim was treated at
Lenox Health Greenwich Village for burns
to his arm.

Cops released on
Tuesday morning
video footage of
two brutes as they attacked
a helpless deliveryman in
Midtown and robbed him
last month.
The pair punched
around the 43-year-old man
as he attempted to make a
delivery at the corner of
7th Avenue and West 54th
Street at about 2:45 a.m. on
Jan. 2, police reported.
As shown in the footage,
the suspects backed the victim
against a wrought iron
gate. Seconds later, one of
the brutes took a swing,
throwing a right fi st against
the deliveryman’s face.
Law enforcement
sources said the two thieves
punched and kicked the
delivery worker about the
body, then forcibly removed
his cellphone and a wallet
containing $300 in cash.
After taking the victim’s
property, cops said, the
pair took off on foot in an
unknown direction.
The incident was reported
to the Midtown North
Precinct. Police said the
victim sought treatment on
his own at a local hospital
for fractured ribs.
Police did not provide
physical descriptions of the

last month.
Authorities say that at 9 p.m. on Jan.
22, a 16-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy
were approached by a group of unknown
individuals in front of 327 West 43rd St. in
jacket and tan trousers; his
partner wore a gray hooded
sweatshirt, a white surgical
mask, a black jacket and
black pants.

Midtown. The group approached under the
guise of wanting to sell the teens marijuana.
The group then tried to take the girl’s
bag by pushing her to the ground and
kicking her repeatedly. The crooks were
unsuccessful, which caused them to set
their sights on the 16-year-old boy. They
snatched the boy’s phone from his jacket
pocket and fl ed the scene westbound on
43rd Street towards 9th Avenue.
