Missing man found dead
behind Village building
William Mundy, 18, of Harlem was found dead behind a Greenwich Village
building on Dec. 26 — three days after he was reported missing.

Three days after being reported
missing, a Manhattan man was
found dead in the rear of a
Greenwich Village apartment building
last Thursday afternoon, police sources
said.
The Medical Examiner’s offi ce is
now investigating the cause of William
Mundy’s demise. The 18-year-old
resident of East 100th Street in Harlem
was discovered deceased at around
2:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the rear of a
building on Fifth Avenue near East
13th Street.
Law enforcement sources said Mundy
was last seen entering that same
building at 3 a.m. on Dec. 23. At this

point, police do not know the purpose
of his visit to the location.
When he did not come home later
on Monday, the New York Daily News
reported, Mundy’s mother reported his
disappearance to the 23rd Precinct.
The NYPD issued a press release
about Mundy’s disappearance on the
night of Dec. 25.
Police sources did not disclose information
on the nature of Mundy’s death.
Citing “cops,” the Daily News reported,
it’s believed that he may have fallen
from the roof or one of the upper fl oors
of the building.
The investigation is ongoing, police
said.

Summary of Documents: The application consists of the following:
(1) Initial Statement and Exhibit A Project Description; (2) Exhibit E
Environmental Review; (3) Drawings and Safeguard Plans (CEII); and
(4) Additional environmental data including monitoring plans and
required biological assessments. The application can be downloaded

Type of Facility: The RITE Project is currently licensed under a 10-year
FERC Pilot license for a kinetic hydropower project comprised of
Verdant Power KHPS turbines, which will be installed under water to
generate clean renewable energy from tidal currents. The current license
expires on December 31, 2021 and Verdant Power has applied to FERC
for a subsequent license to continue to operate the Project beyond 2021.
Invitation to the Proceedings: Verdant Power invites resource agencies,
Indian tribes, and members of the public likely to be interested in the
proceedings to participate in the relicensing process. Respondents must
submit comments to the Secretary of the Commission in accordance with
