Oct. 5 was the second anniversary
of Healthy Lifestyle Day and this
year’s event was held at Benedict Avenue
in the Bronx. The event included
tables with access to information
and resources pertaining to health.
There were fl yers, food, sanitizers,
books, masks and COVID-19 information.
Founder Sheikh Musa Drammeh
spoke of his goal to improve the
Bronx so that it becomes one of the top
10 healthiest spaces in the country.
Activities at the event included mental
health training, physical activity
demonstrations, healthy cooking and
teaching.

Animals blessed in the
Bronx at St. Helena’s parish

The Fountain of Youth Celebration Honoring Our Centennials was held
by R.A.I.N. at the Eastchester R.A.I.N. Neighborhood Senior Center on Oct. 1.
Those who were honored were seniors Fremina Montes, 100, Rita Richardson,
97, Albertha Lawton, 101, Lillian Colley, 100, and Sarah Turner, 105. Community
members, elected offi cials and others came out to honor centenarians.
