WORKING TOGETHER FOR A CLEAN, SAFE AND THRIVING
 MORRIS PARK AVENUE COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR!

 Morris Park Business Improvement District

On July 15, 2020 the Morris Park Business Improvement District team including
Executive Director Dr. Camelia Tepelus and local resident Theresa Hefter distributed
over 150 boxes of food and face coverings to the food pantry at 1812 White Plains
Road (Christ Jesus Baptist Church), serving the community Wednesdays, 12pm to
1:30pm. This effort was made possible thanks to the generous support of many
Morris Park residents that dropped food at the BID in the height of the COVID
pandemic over the last months, to help our neighbors in vulnerable circumstances.
We would also like to express our gratitute to friends, volunteers and partner
organizations that shared resources with us, especially Loving the Bronx and the
Huntington Free Library. Thank you all residents, businesses, for your generous spirit,
hard work and dedication to the community! Photos: MPBID, July 15, 2020

YOU CAN HELP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD NOW, FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS!
Over the next decade, lawmakers, business owners, and many others will use 2020 Census data to make critical
decisions affecting your neighborhood. The results will show where communities need new schools, new clinics, new
roads, and more services for families, older adults, and children. Each year, Census data informs federal funding for
more than 100 programs, including school lunches, law enforcement, first responders and education.
