PRESTON HS STUDENTS NAMED MILLION $ SCHOLARS
Preston High School is proud of their students, Adriana Bracco, Ashley Davis and Blessing Njoku, who were celebrated for being three out of six ‘Million Dollar Scholars’ by the Archdiocese
of New York. These three graduates received over a million dollars in college scholarships for their academic success throughout high school.
The three young women attributed their major accomplishments to the skills they learned at Preston such as time management, and study skills, along with the help of excellent teachers

NYISE GRADUATES RECEIVE THEIR DIPLOMAS
Middle and high school students from the Schermerhorn and Van Cleve programs at the
New York Institute for Special Education, who are visually impaired and emotionally challenged,
proudly received their diplomas during a commencement ceremony celebrating
their success’, on Wednesday, June 19.

SALAMANCA CONGRATULATES P.S. 140 GRADUATES
Councilman Rafael Salamanca joined the fi fth grade graduating class of P.S. 140 to celebrate
their academic achievements and announced the allocation of $125,000 for technology upgrades.
GJONAJ SPONSORS LIEN OUTREACH SESSION
Councilman Mark Gjonaj sponsored a Lien Outreach Session for constituents in the 13th Council District with representatives from DOF, DEP, HPD and others about tax, water or emergency
repair liens. Many had the opportunity to discuss options for preventing future lien sales and speak to fi nancial counselors to help them make informed decisions.
