VIOLENCE’S PEACE WALK
In recognition of Gun Violence Awareness Month, Councilman Mark Gjonaj joined the community
against gun violence at the fi fth annual Stand Up To Violence Peace Walk on Thursday,
June 20 at Astor and Wallace avenues.
CB 11 HOSTS 4TH ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR
City Island Sail and Power Squadron (Americas Boating Club) and the Leonard Hawkins American Legion Post 156 commemorated the annual Blessing of the Fleet on Sunday, June 23 at
Fenton Marine dock. Clergy members from St. Mary Star of the Sea, Temple Beth-El/Shul by the Sea, Grace Episcopal Church and Trinity United Methodist Church helped bless 70 boats of
all shapes and sizes to kick off the boating season and ensure a safe voyage.

Parkway Houses on any issues or complaints that impact the residents.

Everyone was in good spirits celebrating Community Board 11 Health and Social Services Committee’s fourth annual Health Fair on Sunday, June 23 at Bronx House. The lifesaving fair
featured dozens of screenings, demonstrations and giveaways from vendors such as Montefi ore and Jacobi hospitals, NYC Health Department, NYC Human Resources Administration and
many other local health facilities and agencies.
