Smile New York Dental will host two open houses
The public is invited to stop by Smile
New York Dental, the new family dentist
offi ce in the Bronx, during two public
open houses being held Saturdays,
June 15 Saturday, June 22, 9 a.m. to 1
p.m. at 1808 Crotona Parkway.
“We are excited to meet our new
neighbors and to offer them the dental
services they need,” said president and
chief clinical offi cer Stephen Marshall,
D.D.S. According to Dr. Marshall, who
also has a master’s in public health,
“Good oral health is important at every
age, and we’re pleased to bring dental
care to this community.”
The public can meet the staff and enjoy
giveaways at the open houses. The
offi ce is located near the 174th Street
station of the 2 and 5 subways or by the
Bx19 and Bx21 bus.
Smile New York Dental seeks to
increase access to dental care by accepting
Medicaid, Child Health Plus,
several private insurance plans and
self-pay options. Evening and weekend
hours are offered. A Spanish-speaking
caregiver is available.
Services include dental exams,
cleanings, X-rays, fl uoride, sealants,
fi llings, crowns, root canals, gum disease
treatment, emergency dental care,
dentures and cosmetic dentistry. For

Stop by the PSS City Island Center,
located at 116 City Island Avenue,
Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. Experience their exercise
classes from gentle yoga stretch, balance
class, arthritis workshop and tai
chi as well as the fi t for life and cardio
fi t. They also offer acrylic painting,
mixed media art class, health presentations,
singing group and parties. Lunch
is served from noon to 1 p.m., suggested
donation $2. The center participants go
on shopping trips every day; i.e. Shop
Rite, Dollar Tree, Target, Kmart ,as
well as theatre excursions, boat trips,
special luncheons and more. It’s free
to become a member but you must be 60
